Uninformed Trump Supporters Will Not Be in the New Republican Party

Trump Rally

When Trump loses in November, the Republican Party will initially implode; but that’s a good thing. Today’s Republican Party does not represent all Americans, and without including all demographics, it will continue to fail.

At the present time, the GOP is homophobic, pro-Christian religious extremist, racist, and continues to wage a war against women. Then there are Donald Trump supporters.

Who are these men and women who have decided to support a totally unqualified candidate in these very serious times? What we know about them is that the believe in Donald Trump. They are angry at the Republican Party for its failures during the last eight years. Like Trump, they do not love our country; at least the country founded by our forefathers. They agree with Trump’s racism and many prejudices. Trump supporters are elitists who believe in white supremacy. They want America to return to the “bad old days” of the 1950’s when black people and women “knew their place.” Gay men and women remained in the closet, and no American recognized any religion other than Christianity.

Trump’s supporters are uninformed and misguided. I don’t believe they’re actually listening to his words, but if they are, I feel sorry for them and their families. They are elitists who denounce the Constitution.

Meanwhile, Kelly Steele, 52, was shouting: “Get your ‘Make America Great Again’ hats and lapel pins, USA made!”, echoing the debate over US-based manufacturing versus global trade. “If he loses, I’m not looking to a man or woman to run this country. I’m trusting in God.”

What the hell? If there is a god, he or she doesn’t give a damn about our country. It is our responsibility to ensure that our government works, and works for all of us. Governments and religions have several things in common; they were created by men, not by a god. Both are designed to control the minds and actions of men and women. They restrict freedom and deny individual rights, while attempting to limit free thought.

When the Republican Party fractures after the election, Trump supporters will not join a revitalized Republican Party. They will also reject the TEA Party, or Freedom Caucus, whatever they decide to call themselves. They will remain on the outside, wandering without purpose; without guidance. They will not find the ‘great America’ of Donald Trump; it has never truly existed. Supporting Trump’s distorted view of our nation will never make it “great.”

Now here’s the truth; the American people are angry with their government, and they should be. Never before in our nation’s history have the two parties fought more among themselves, and failed to fight for the American people. We have no representation in Washington. Winning elections has taken precedence over service to the citizens of our nation. This must change. Lobbyists must be removed from our government, and special interests must take a back seat to the needs of the majority. It’s time for fairness to return to the Capitol.

Trump is not part of the solution; he is part of the problem. He would continue to allow income inequality to widen. Women would remain subservient to men. Minorities would be ignored and expected to accept their roles in white America. The Christian cult would continue to interfere in our government; violating the first amendment.
