Newt Gingrich was one of the most criminal politicians in our history. In addition, he was a philanderer who had no compassion for his second wife who was fighting for her life. He lied to Congress and he lied to the American people. He is no more than an opportunist who does nothing unless it advances his personal goals and ambitions. Presently, he is campaigning for a cabinet position should Donald Trump win in November.
When Gingrich was the Speaker of the House, he lost his battle with Bill Clinton, and was eventually forced to resign from his position by his own party. He is now in full attack mode against Hillary Clinton. Maybe he thinks he can beat her. He’s a loser, like the presidential candidate he supports; he’ll lose again.
“This is a person who has lied repeatedly. She lies about lying and now she lies about having lied about lying,” Gingrich said. “This is the Clinton model which is to drag it out, to lawyer it up, to say whatever you need to get through the next interview.”
How can any intelligent person believe anything Gingrich has to say? During the Clinton Administration, he was originally charged with 26 ethics violations. Republican efforts were able to reduce the charges to only one. However, that was enough to force him from office.
His lack of moral character is clearly demonstrated by his actions during three marriages. Gingrich divorced his first wife because “she was not attractive enough.” His second wife refused his request for an “open marriage,” while he was openly having an affair. He served her divorce papers in the hospital while she was fighting cancer.
Trump’s entire campaign is in desperation. Yesterday Trump used teleprompters to outline his ‘plan’ to attack terrorism. He offered little detail, and continues to be denounced by military and intelligence experts for his lack of knowledge and experience.
Gingrich is one of the men and women on a list of failed Republicans who support Trump. He and Trump have a symbiotic relationship. Both have been married three times, and both have been accused of sexual harassment, and even assault in the case of Trump.
They represent the “party of family values;” likely the greatest contradiction in history. Gingrich offered his “contract with America.” In fact, it was a contract to increase his personal wealth and power.
The Republican Party has no other tactic than to attack Hillary Clinton personally. Her record of public service is remarkable, and her lengthy participation in our nation’s government makes her the most-qualified candidate in history. Trump’s record of public service is a blank piece of paper. His “accomplishments” have all been directed towards enhancing his personal wealth and prestige.
Fortunately for our nation, Trump is my age, and Gingrich is 73. Time will remove them from American politics and they will become nothing more than a bad memory of two despicable men who once soiled our nation.
