Continual proof has been offered by Trump’s supporters that they are as ignorant about American politics and history as their idol. One of the most egregious Trump loyalists is Rudy Giuliani. Like Trump, he never accomplished a single thing in his career. The fact that he just happened to be the Mayor of New York when the cowardly attacks on September 11, 2001 occurred gave him his “ten minutes of fame.” He played it for as long as he was able, until he was exposed as a philanderer, and an incapable politician.
Giuliani made a pitiful speech during Trump’s convention last month in Cleveland. He attempted to demean Hillary Clinton, but all he accomplished was to offer additional proof that he and Trump share one commonality; they have never accomplished one thing for the betterment of the American people and hate those who have.
Only George W. Bush used the term “9/11” more than Giuliani. But on Monday he claimed it never happened. Senility happens early for some, and sadly Giuliani is exhibiting signs of a complete loss of mental acuity.
At a Trump rally in Ohio, Giuliani apparently lost his mind in an effort to add his own attacks to President Obama and Hillary Clinton.
“Under those eight years before Obama came along, we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attacks in the United States,” he said. “They all started when Clinton and Obama got into office.”
Let’s do the math. President Obama was elected in 2008. George W. Bush, who was warned by the intelligence agencies in early 2001, that an ‘attack on United States soil was imminent, took office in 2001. Maybe I’m wrong; I was good at math; it was not my specialty, but it appears to me that Bush was our president on September 11, 2001, when he was on an extended vacation.
Okay; the truth is that Trump’s supporters are as embarrassing as the man they hope will become our 45th president and destroy the United States of America founded by Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, and Adams. Just look at his list of devotees; they include, Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, Mike King, and Mark Sanford. Not a single one of these individuals supports America or its people. They are ambitious, and self-serving men and women who have no interest in the future of our nation and its people.
Nearly every individual who has been involved in high level military or intelligence operations has denounced Trump; including respected Republicans. Trump cannot be trusted with control of our military, and the nuclear launch codes.
Giuliani is a fool; fools are dangerous. Trump and his supporters would make the world less safe for all of its people. He knows absolutely nothing about government, international relations, or national security. Megalomaniacs are not effective leaders. Their sole purpose is to accumulate power and control of a nation’s people. They use rhetoric which creates fear, but offer nothing substantive.
As respected Republicans abandon Trump and move into Hillary’s camp, the American people must take notice. Bernie Sanders’ supporters must realize that Ms. Clinton will institute many of the Vermont Senator’s ideals.
Trump would destroy the middle class and ignore the plight of all working class Americans. He lacks the ability to use diplomacy and logic to cure the terrorist problems which continue to plague the world. His temperament would force rash decisions and cause far more harm than good.
