Hitler had a very effective propaganda machine. Vladimir Putin was a leader of the KGB, which controlled ‘Pravda,’ unquestionably the most successful fabricator of the truth in history. On October 7th, 1996, the American people were subjected to their first heavily funded propaganda machine which disguised itself as a legitimate news network. It even called itself “fair and balanced.” The reality was that FOX News, funded by Rupert Murdoch, was created for the sole purpose of damning the Democratic Party, and brainwashing the American people into believing that Republicans were the party of patriotism, and would protect the nation from the evils beyond our shores.
The President of FOX ‘Noise,’ Roger Ailes was focused. He made the decision that nothing mattered but ratings. He appealed to the uneducated, and the uninformed. He had no interest in the truth; he simply told them what they wanted to hear. Racists, bigots, and those who believed in white supremacy locked their televisions onto FOX.
Republican candidates favored the new fake-news network. They were given the questions they would be asked prior to their appearance on the entertainment network, and they would offer them an opportunity to influence Republican voters that they were the party of family values, morality, and patriotism. Of course they were actually opposed to these “virtues,” but FOX personalities convinced viewers that they were sincere, and all liberals, or progressives, were the “tools of the devil.”
I can only imagine where our nation would be if the evil that is FOX Noise had failed to invade our political system. Without the tools of fear, anger, and even hatred, would our nation be less divided, and more compassionate and understanding than it is today? My personal opinion is a resounding “yes.” Present and past FOX personalities including Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, and others are opportunistic traitors whose only goals have been fame and fortune. They join radio personality Rush Limbaugh as the worst of America’s media, and the worst of why America will never be a great country.
Without FOX Noise, we would not have been subjected to the worst administration in the history of our nation. Its support of George W. Bush with lies and innuendos influenced millions of weak-minded Americans to allow him and the devil-incarnate, Dick Cheney, control over our nation’s future for eight years. Our nation was nearly destroyed until President Barrack Obama rescued us in 2009.
But FOX was far more than a tool for the right wing. Its emphasis on ratings influenced all media to abandon the once credible fourth estate for profit while eliminating the truth. Ratings became more important than fact. The media must accept a large portion of the responsibility for creating the success of Donald Trump. They covered his rallies five times more frequently than any other candidate. His vile and offensive rhetoric increased advertising revenue. It did not matter to them that he was, and is, a destructive force which could destroy the very fabric of the United States of America.
The United States of America is not a country; it’s a business. Money is the only god worshiped by our nation. Christians are hypocrites; they do not believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Republicans seek power and have no concern for the people of our nation. The dream has been destroyed, and FOX Noise has been one of the greatest perpetrators of its destruction.
