Rubio Displays Classic Republican Hypocrisy and Personal Ambition

MR

On Tuesday, Florida Republican Senator, and failed presidential candidate, Marco Rubio, called the Republican standard bearer Donald Trump a “con-artist.” However, he continues to support the megalomaniac as the GOP’s nominee for the presidency. Rubio is another coward and opportunist who places his party ahead of our nation’s future.

Rubio brought into question his true intellect during the debates. He is a party man and submits to Republican leadership. After Rubio suspended his campaign for the presidency, he told supporters that he didn’t want to return to the senate; he simply didn’t like his job, and his poor attendance record confirmed the fact. However, the other Republican candidates from Florida were losing to Democrats in the polls. Rubio capitulated to the establishment, and began his reelection campaign. He told supporters a huge lie when he explained his decision.

“In our republic, while the presidency is powerful, there is a balance of power in this country, and a significant amount of it resides in the United States Senate,” Rubio said. “It’s one of the reasons why I seek to run again.”

Rubio has no concern for our nation, and no interest in working in the Senate. He has a single goal; to be the President of the United States. He will certainly declare his candidacy once again in 2020, and will once again fail. He has created enormous baggage for himself. The truth is, “Little Marco” is no more qualified than Donald Trump to lead our nation.

During the debate season, Rubio was urged to take any action which would defeat Trump, including using Trump’s own tactics of personal attacks. He simply made a fool of himself. His remarks about the ‘size of Trump’s hands’ will remain famous as one of the most embarrassing moments in any presidential campaign. Rubio finally apologized.

“I apologized to him for that,” Rubio told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.” “I said, ‘You know, I’m sorry that I said that. It’s not who I am and I shouldn’t have done it.'”

Rubio has decided to campaign with Trump in Florida, although they were bitter enemies during the campaign season. Personal insults defined the debates, but party before country is the Republican mantra. Rubio lies once again as he denies his own attacks during debates. His hypocrisy is in full view when he now supports the man he previously denounced. “I’ve stood by everything I ever said in my campaign,” Rubio told the Miami Herald.

When personal ambition precedes national welfare, that person should not be allowed to serve in Washington in any capacity. This is Marco Rubio. This TEA Party darling must be denied to succeed in his efforts to advance his own career at the expense of the people of Florida. During his first six-year term he failed to record a single accomplishment for the betterment of the lives of his constituents.
