Trump has demoted his top advisor, and hired two new staff members. He has also acquired the fired president of FOX Noise to prepare him for the upcoming presidential debates. This is Trump’s SOS. The fascist candidate himself is learning that his lack of experience and ego are costing him any chance to win the presidency.
Trump is trailing Hillary in the swing states, and could possibly lose the “red states” of Utah, North Carolina, and Georgia. Unfortunately, for Trump, he is losing; Hillary Clinton is not beating him. Trump has been exposing himself as we predicted. He constantly reveals his lack of knowledge regarding our nation and its government. Possibly even worse, he knows nothing about national security and foreign relations.
Trump has added Steve Bannon, the executive chairman of Breitbart News and a former investment banker, to the post of chief executive and promoted Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser and pollster to his campaign, to the position of campaign manager. He has also acquired Roger Ailes as his debate advisor.
Ailes and Trump may be twins separated at birth. They are certainly kindred spirits who have admired each other for decades. They share many “qualities.” They are both egomaniacs; both have been accused of sexual harassment; and both believe that they are invincible.
I would be remiss if I failed to direct the reader’s attention towards the incredible hypocrisy within the Republican Party. Many “never Trump” Republicans are now supporting the party’s standard bearer. In August of 2015, Roger Ailes and Reince Priebus conspired to derail Trump during the first “debate.” Their efforts not only failed, Trump was propelled to even greater heights. The following day his poll numbers rose. Now Ailes is advising Trump. This is your Republican Party. They have no conviction, no principles, and no concern for the future of our nation.
In 1988, Ailes was in charge of communications for George H.W. Bush. He was well-known as a “spin doctor.” When he was hired by Rupert Murdoch in October of 1996 to create “FOX Noise,” he had a single goal. He was not concerned with facts, or the truth, the focus was all about ratings; everything else was a distant second. This makes him a perfect match for Trump. His campaign is composed of lies and attacks; the same tactics which made FOX Noise a success. Deceiving the American people was the goal of FOX in support of the Republican Party. Trump is mirroring FOX as he continues to seek the presidency.
Trump and Ailes are a match made in hell. Similarities between the two failed men are numerous. Adding Mike Pence and Roger Ailes to his team have added homophobia and misogyny to his own racism, bigotry, and xenophobia. Trump’s campaign is now officially composed of the most horrific group of men and women in history. They are anti-American. They are no more than opportunists who are desperate to regain some significance within our nation.
The truth is unsettling when we look closely at the leaders of the Republican Party. Trump is the most unqualified offering for the most important and powerful office in our nation in history. Pence is a religious extremist who openly places his religion above the future of our nation. Ailes is a public relations man; he is Don Draper come to reality.
These are men who want more power and prestige, and are working to achieve their goals through misdirection and falsehoods. The GOP is forever shattered.
