I have always believed that the most important tribute a man or woman can receive is ‘respect’ from another human being. Respect must be earned; it cannot be taken, or purchased. Occasionally some individuals who just happened to be in the right place at the right time are given respect, even if they have done nothing to earn it. Rudy Giuliani is just such a man.
Giuliani’s one ‘moment in the sun’ came after the cowardly attacks of September 11, 2001. He was the sitting mayor of New York City at the time. As the citizens of our nation experienced anger, fear, uncertainty, and great sadness, we were desperate for leaders who would make us feel safe once more. Giuliani took this opportunity to exploit the emotions of the people of New York. He didn’t work with first responders, or take any action directly associated with the tragedy. He talked.
Giuliani had no accomplishments as the Mayor of New York. He is an opportunist. In a futile effort to return to public prominence, he is hoping to ‘ride Donald Trump’s coattails,’ and possibly receive a federal appointment should Trump win the election in November.
“Those two speeches were the two most substantive, I would say historic, speeches that any presidential candidate has made in a very long time,” he said of Trump’s speeches both Tuesday and Monday. Really?
What Trump did was read from a teleprompter; something he has consistently denounced. Reading a document, you, yourself had not written, cannot be heralded as ‘great.’ The truth is that it didn’t sound like ‘Trump.’ The speeches were also void of detail, and generalities cannot be accepted without substance.
Giuliani is demonstrating the desperation of Trump’s campaign. The Republican Party cannot allow Trump to speak without censorship. When the “real” Trump is exposed, all of America is aware of the fact that is not qualified to lead our nation. His weak temperament and lack of knowledge in all areas of our nation’s government, prove that he would be a danger to our country, and make the world less safe.
Trump has three well-known Republican failures in his camp. Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, and Chris Christie are all losers; and we all know how much Trump loves a ‘loser.’ These three, along with Trump himself, are prevaricators and examples of why the Republican Party is broken and has failed the American people. “If their lips are moving; they’re lying.”
Giuliani has done nothing but make a fool of himself; and it appears that only fools support Donald Trump.
