Donald Trump Claims He is ‘Changing:’ But How?

Republican Standard Bearer

Donald Trump claims that he ‘occasionally’ misspoke; but he failed to be specific. Did he mean anything he said? Was it all lies? Or, was it all the truth. I think intelligent Americans know the answer.

If Trump retreats from his intent to ‘build a wall,’ or ‘ban all Muslims,’ how will his supporters react? They obviously love him for his racist and bigoted views. Did he mean it when he said that immigrants were ‘criminals and rapists?’ Who is Donald Trump? Is anything real about him, including his tan and his hair?

One thing for certain; his campaign has forbidden him to speak without a teleprompter, and all of his recent remarks have been carefully scripted.

“Sometimes, in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don’t choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that. And believe it or not, I regret it. And I do regret it, particularly where it may have caused personal pain. Too much is at stake for us to be consumed with these issues,” Trump told supporters here.

Then he reneged on his “apology.”

He added: “But one thing I can promise you is this: I will always tell you the truth.”

It is possible that the general public will be fooled by his statement, but what about his most ardent supporters? If he shows ‘weakness,’ and retracts most of his positions, as vile as they may be, will they continue to offer their unyielding support?

Trump is a phony. Trump is a ‘flip-flopper.’ Trump is a liar. Trump remains the most unqualified presidential candidate in history.

He can ‘soften’ his rhetoric, and cease speaking like a blithering idiot, but he cannot change. Trump has exposed himself many times for the person he truly is. His weak temperament will prevent him from not retaliating to attacks, no matter how minor they might be.

The word, my friends, is “desperation;” “the feeling of being in such a bad situation that you will take any risk to change it.”
