Ivanka Trump Purchases Jewelry: Gets Burned

Ivanka

At this time in the 2016 election season it is impossible for me to believe that there exists a single ‘undecided’ voter in our nation. The choices are clear, and if you are opposed to racism, bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, and xenophobia; if you believe in the Constitution; you will be voting for Hillary Clinton. If you Share Donald Trump’s views, you have my pity.

Political organizations, military and intelligence experts, business organizations, religious groups, and even some influential Republicans, have spoken out and endorsed Hillary in numbers never seen before.

Ivanka Trump has become a public figure as she adamantly supports her father’s bid for the presidency. Recently, she made an online purchase. She received more than the jewelry she had ordered; she received a handwritten note from the supplier.

“Dear Ivanka,” the note read, “Thank you so much for your web order! We’re happy to let you know that the proceeds of your sale have been generously donated to the American Immigration Council, the Everytown for Gun Safety Organization, and the Hillary Clinton campaign. We hope you enjoy your new Lady Grey #helixearcuff. Best, Jill and Sabine.”

First of all, I want to offer my praise to ‘Lady Grey’ for their support of America, and the Constitution. Donald Trump does not represent the nation I love. He has a different view of what America is. His funny red hats are misleading. Trump’s idea of ‘making America great,’ is moving our nation to the past when racism and prejudice in general were accepted as normal. His rhetoric earned him the support of the Ku Klux Klan, which he has failed to denounce.

The truth is that Ivanka and her brothers have no ability to understand the challenges facing the majority of the American people every day. My wife and I are two of tens of millions of other Americans who struggle to pay our bills each month. I guarantee you that the “Trump kids” have never been inside of a family shelter. When I worked for the 2010 Decennial Census, I was responsible for counting both homeless Americans living in the open, and in shelters; the numbers were shameful. With 536 billionaires in the United States, there should not be a single person who lives in these conditions. No American should be harassed because of their religious belief or sexual orientation. Unlike the Trump family, most of us do not travel with bodyguards. We face danger every day from a mentally unstable man or woman who may have chosen that time and that place to shoot innocent people with their assault rifle; legally purchased.

I feel no animosity towards Ivanka or other members of her family. However, it’s time that she understood and learned about the ‘real’ America.
