Eight years of Republican efforts to derail a Hillary Clinton campaign have failed. More than a year of attempting to defeat Donald Trump by Republican leadership failed miserably. Sixteen hapless challengers were forced to raise the white flag as Trump now stands alone as the GOP standard bearer.
Four investigations about the tragedy in Benghazi offered nothing. They simply cost our taxpayers time and money while Republicans continued to ignore their responsibilities to the American people. The fake e-mail scandal has been proven to be nothing more than an innocent mistake, suggested by a former Republican Secretary of State.
With just over 80 days left until the election, Republican leaders, including Trump, have created a non-existent health problem for Ms. Clinton. The truth is that Trump’s medical report offered no facts, much like the candidate’s speeches, while Hillary has been cleared by her doctors.
Katrina Pierson is a Republican national spokesperson, not a qualified doctor or individual with expertise regarding a medical condition. She lied to CNN, claiming that Ms. Clinton suffers from “dysphasia, a neurological condition that impairs the ability to communicate and/or understand speech.” This came as Clinton’s long-time physician called the statement irresponsible and a blatant falsehood.
Trump doesn’t play fair; he never has in his business ventures, and has failed to challenge Clinton regarding the issues. He prefers to use generalities, personal attacks, and transparent lies. His supporters accept his ridiculous claims, although Trump has never offered a single iota of truth, and uses lies to further his personal ambitions.
This is a year which has seen many incidents of vile rhetoric and personal attacks. It is the least substantive campaign season in history; on one side. The media is directly to blame. It can no longer be considered a source of reliable information. It has lost all concern for the future of our nation and its people. It has learned well from FOX Noise and placed profit before the truth. Ratings are the only thing which matters, and therefore they chose to cover Trump five-times more than any other candidate, and help him win the Republican nomination.
Trump claims that this election will be “rigged;” it has been from the beginning. He has had free publicity, and when he consented to interviews, he was never asked a tough question, or forced to give a direct and complete answer. Without the assistance of the media, Trump would have never received the title of “Republican Party Standard Bearer.”
The American people cannot believe a single word from Republicans. They have been beaten soundly for eight years, and they’re facing four more of the same.
