Rush Limbaugh is the Republican Party’s Problem: Not the Solution

Rush

It is true that “there’s no cure for stupid.” It can also be said, at least in some cases; “there’s no cure for crazy.” Add them together and we get Rush Limbaugh. For years I believed that he was the most evil man in America. His efforts to destroy the Constitution and the principles of our founding fathers, together with the intentional division of our nation’s people, are obvious and despicable. Now, years later, I believe the former two descriptions are more accurate.

The fact that he is a racist, a misogynist, a xenophobe, and a homophobe are obvious, but his attacks on President Obama are ludicrous.

The President is attempting to help farmers; not corporate farmers, but family farms. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is helping to sponsor the first Iowa LGBT Rural Summit as part of their billions of dollars of farming subsidies. When Limbaugh heard about this, he went off on unrelated tangents, and delivered his own conspiracy theories. Once again he revealed how little he knows about ‘real America,’ and its people.

He said: “Have you heard the latest Democrat scam? Have you heard about the Agriculture Department’s financial grants to lesbian farmers?

“I’m like you; I never before in my life knew that lesbians wanted to be farmers. I never knew that lesbians wanted to get behind the horse and the plow and start burrowing. I never knew it,” said Limbaugh.

Limbaugh claims that all of this is a plan by the President to ‘destroy rural, conservative America.’ While he was talking about ‘rural America,’ he slipped in a statement that they are ‘second amendment supporters.’ Isn’t everyone? But not the way he mistakenly interprets it.

Rush didn’t stop with one section of our nation, during his incoherent rant, he engaged in an appraisal of the suburbs.

“But apparently enough money can make it happen, and the objective here is to attack — they’re already attacking suburbs, and that has been made perfectly clear by what happened in Milwaukee. (Limbaugh never met a black person he liked).

“And they’re going after every geographic region that is known to be largely conservative. They never stop, folks. They are constantly on the march.”

Limbaugh is good at stretching the truth as far as possible. Our government has made the mistake of giving farmers more than $20 billion in subsidies each year, and most of them are card-carrying Republicans.

Here’s some good news. Limbaugh is a Republican tool. The Republican Party is imploding, and Donald Trump is the culmination of many reasons. Limbaugh has promoted many of the causes for years; he is a major reason why the party is fractured; he will never be part of the solution.

Limbaugh is both stupid and crazy, and for him there is no cure.
