Donald Trump’s rise to the position of Republican standard bearer was fueled by two issues; he promised to deport over 11 million undocumented workers, and he would build a wall between Mexico and the United States. The truth has now been exposed; he was just saying that to get the party’s nomination.
Sean Hannity, who is one of Trump’s greatest supporters, and yet remains on FOX Noise, was questioning Trump about his present stand on immigration. He has flip-flopped 180 degrees. He now says that he would ‘work with Hispanics’ and find a way to legal residence, but there would be no amnesty and no citizenship.
What can Trump supporters believe? What does he really stand for today, and what will he ‘believe’ in tomorrow? Most importantly, will Trump’s most avid supporters remain loyal if reneges on every issue which allowed him to win the nomination? I’ve said it before in other articles, “if his lips are moving, he lying.” Trump is the Ryan Lochte of politicians.
The American people have short memories. During the primaries, Trump denounced Ted Cruz for supporting a path to legal residence. Does this sound familiar? “I was against it before I was for it.”
What the media refuses to tell the American people is that Trump has changed parties seven times. He was formerly pro-choice before he became pro-life. He promised to refuse entry into our nation by all Muslims, and now claims that those who are comprehensively vetted can enter our nation.
Even the most ardent supporter must ask the questions; “who is Donald Trump, and what does he believe in?”
Now, to be truthful, all politicians flip-flop to some degree. But to back-peddle on your primary promise to supporters is unheard of. This simply demonstrates both the weakness of the candidate and his staff.
And what does Campaign CEO Steve Bannon think about all of this? He is one of the most outspoken racists, bigots, and homophobes in the nation. Is the Trump campaign in turmoil internally?
I’m sure that there will be more to come from “Flip-flopper Donald.”
