More About Trump and Bannon

Donald

The media is not exposing what is very likely the most important issue in the 2016 campaign. It is about who the American people want to represent them and live in our most famous residence. Character is important, but more importantly we must have a president who truly will “defend the Constitution of the United States.” The President of the United States cannot ‘pick and choose’ the parts of our most sacred documents he supports.

Donald Trump now has a Campaign CEO who shares his “values.” Stephen Bannon has openly and proudly admitted that his beliefs are opposed to those of “normal” people who believe in the Law of the Land. He is anti-Semitic, stating that he ‘doesn’t want his children going to school with Jews. As the head of Breitbart, he wrote and approved multiple articles supporting racism, bigotry, misogyny, xenophobia, and homophobia. Possibly worst of all, he is a believer in the “Alt-Right” movement; he is a white supremacist.

During her speech in Reno Wednesday, Hillary Clinton invited the critical concerns about Trump, Bannon, and what the campaign was truly about.

“My friends, this is a moment of reckoning for every Republican dismayed that the party of Lincoln has become the party of Trump. It’s a moment of reckoning for all of us who love our country and believe that America is better than this.

“Twenty years ago when Bob Dole accepted the Republican nomination, he pointed to the exits in the convention hall and told any racist in the party to get out. The week after 9/11, George W. Bush went to a mosque and declared for everyone to hear that Muslims ‘love America just as much as I do.’

“In 2008, John McCain told his own supporters that they were wrong about the man he was trying to defeat. Senator McCain made sure they knew Barrack Obama, he said, was an American citizen and a decent person.

“We need that kind of leadership again.”

So, why did Trump choose Bannon, and why was an inexperienced woman promoted to Campaign Chairman; his third?

The truth is simple, but also unnerving. Robert Mercer is a billionaire, and is now Trump’s major campaign contributor.

Before he supported Trump, he funded much of Ted Cruz’ campaign. Kellyanne Conway, who is now Trump’s Campaign Manager, was in control of Cruz’ daily operations. Mercer also donated money to Breitbart allowing it to continue its prejudicial practices. Once again, you’ll never hear this from the media, they don’t offer complete truth to the public any longer; the evidence proves that Robert Mercer ordered Trump to hire Bannon and Conway if he wished to continue receiving campaign contributions.

I can no longer point fingers at the entire Republican Party. I truly pity those Republicans who believe in the principles of their party and the future of our nation. I’m certain they denounce the fact that the man who is the GOP standard bearer also represents the worst of our nation. Men like Trump and Bannon have no place in American politics, and certainly not making decisions in the Oval Office.
