We all know that former presidential candidate and Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie lied about closing lanes on a bridge to take vindictive action against a rival. We also know that because he placed his political future in doubt with his actions, he pledged his support for Donald Trump in an effort to become his running mate. When that failed as well, he continues to hope for a cabinet appointment as the Attorney General, should the American people become brain dead and elect Trump.
Trump has laughingly called Hillary Clinton a bigot, which is truly ‘calling the kettle black;’ no pun intended. The black community is laughing as they reflect on Trump’s history long before he became a presidential candidate. Christie is defending his master in the most embarrassing manner. This is what he said on ABC today about the subject when he was asked if he believed Hillary Clinton was truly a ‘bigot.’
“I’ll tell you this, this type of discourse in the campaign is just unwarranted. But it was started by Ms. Clinton. Ms. Clinton has started the idea of calling Donald Trump those types of names. And the fact is that, once you are the person — and Ms. Clinton is the person who injected this type of commentary into this race — once you inject that type of commentary into this race, you can’t then sit back and start complaining about it.”
Okay, this was not an answer, it was a misdirection. The truth is that Trump is a proven bigot. His history, added to his rhetoric as a presidential wannabee, have proven that he is a racist and his prejudices have run the gamut of human perversion. Trump’s addition of Steve Bannon proves that he is not only a racist, but in fact a white supremacist. We now understand why he failed to reject the endorsement of former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke.
For more than a year Republican candidates have played the schoolyard game of ‘you said it first.’ Facts have little value to these passengers of the clown car. Trump made fools of all of the other 16 presidential wannabees, and embarrassed his party and the nation in the process.
Christie, along with Newt Gingrich, and Rudy Giuliani are “has-beens.” They failed their party and the American people long ago, and now their only hopes are to ‘cling to the coattails’ of Trump.
This is so sad, I almost feel sorry for Trump and his fellow losers.
Although failed Republican leadership continues to attempt to discredit Hillary Clinton, more and more Americans are becoming aware that she will be a great president who will represent all of the American people.
Christie, Gingrich, Giuliani, and other failed Republicans can support Trump all the way to his defeat in November; they have nothing else in their future. After the election I hope that we will never hear from them again. I am tired of extremists on the right wing who hate my country and believe that they are more important than the American people and the future of our nation.
