A few facts: Illegal immigration is at an all-time low. The eleven million undocumented immigrants, who have been living in America for years are needed, and offering a path to legal residence would greatly benefit our nation’s economy. There will never be a wall; Mexico would not pay for it; it would fail as an attempt to dissuade anyone who is intent about coming to America. Donald Trump’s “plans” are not well thought out; they are simply another rash idea from a man with weak temperament. His false claims of mass crime within the Hispanic community is simply racism.
“This election is our last chance to secure the border, stop illegal immigration, and reform our laws to make your life better,” Trump said speaking in Arizona. All lies and misdirection.
Trump has failed to talk about how he would make our lives better; he doesn’t have any ideas. Deporting undocumented workers will not improve the quality of life for the working class.
Trump says that he will create a “deportation task force” to remove those who are undesirable. Who will make than decision: Fuhrer Trump? A president Trump would re-fashion our nation into a fascist country. Would the brutality of actions by Dwight Eisenhower be repeated?
“If we can save American lives, American jobs and American futures, together we can save America itself,” Trump said.
When did 11 million undocumented immigrants become a danger instead of a problem? Republicans have failed to address a situation which has faced our legislators for years. Trump has isolated individuals to label all Hispanics as ‘criminals and rapists.’
Trump and his followers support white supremacy. His words have proven this fact for more than a year. Added to his disdain for Hispanics, he has denounced Black Lives Matter. When he added Steve Dannon to his staff, he openly admitted that he and his constituents are on the extreme side of racism and prejudice.
Trump’s ideas of building a wall and deporting undocumented immigrants would waste more time, and cost American taxpayers billions of dollars. Finding a path to legal residence would force business to pay them at least minimum wage. They would contribute to social security, Medicare, and healthcare.
Once again Trump needs a history lesson. Former presidents, who were true Republicans, gave amnesty to millions of undocumented immigrants; both Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush issued executive orders to allow 4.5 million men women and children to remain legally in our nation. Trump’s suggestions are based purely on racism and have no basis in reality.
In November voters must elect an American citizen as our president. We cannot afford to have a man who would deny Constitutional rights, ignore the intent of our founding fathers, and make America a fascist state. Time to send Trump home to his little world filled with anger and hatred. We don’t want him, and we certainly don’t need him.
Do you remember the words “with Liberty and Justice for all?” Donald Trump has obviously never recited the “Pledge of Allegiance.” White supremacy is un-American.
