I have learned over 70 years that I think I’m okay. In other words, I’m happy with myself and the introspection I engaged in throughout my life, and continue to do so today. I have had only two ‘heroes’ in my lifetime, and have envied no one else. This is about to change on September 26^th. I do envy Lester Holt, who will be the moderator for the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. I would be very hard on both candidates and force them to give direct answers to direct questions.

This is truly “must see TV.” No one should miss this. It will be “the Thrilla in Manila,” the “Rumble in the Jungle,” and the “Housewives of New Jersey” all rolled into one. I expect it to challenge Monday Night Football for ratings that evening.

This will not be a ‘scripted’ event. I cannot wait to see the real Donald Trump again. He will finally have to offer solutions to our nation’s problems. The only question is ‘will he be as combative and angry as he was in the Republican “debates?”’

Will he try to have Hillary thrown out? Will he call her names? Will he verbally attack Lester Holt? Many questions, and I’ll just have to wait patiently.

If the polls, which I fail to believe, are close at the time, it will be interesting, but if Trump is far behind, it could be even more fun. Desperation would make Trump take chances, and we all know how that works for the ill-tempered “orange man.”

The Republican Party’s continued efforts to create a scandal for Hillary, aided by the media, will not be a detraction on September 26^th. It will be a faceoff between two candidates who really dislike each other. It’s personal.

Set your DVR’s now. NBC will be the host network. If you miss this, you will have missed one of the greatest shows on earth.
