Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, would like you to forget an entire year of speeches by Donald Trump when he refused to read from a prepared script or use a teleprompter. By his own words Trump revealed who and what he was; it wasn’t pretty. But at least we saw the real Donald Trump, and not the façade Conway is creating today.
Take the speech Trump delivered Saturday at a black church in Detroit. He actually convinced a few of the church’s members that he was sincere. He also had a meeting with Bishop Wayne T. Jackson, the churches leader. The interview was a publicity stunt, where all the questions were received long before the event occurred.
This is not a new Donald Trump; this is someone created by his campaign staff and has no relation to the real “Trumpenstein.” We did get to see a small revival of the real Trump when he attacked Arizona Senator Jeff Flake when he lost his “Trumperament” in true Trump fashion. Ah, for the bad old days.
I’m sure no one misses the real Trump more than the media who gave him free advertising for more than a year. They yearn for the profanity, the anger, the hatred, the racist remarks, his proclivity to incite violence, and his “Trump-speak.”
We know that what Trump is now saying does not come from his own black heart. The words are written for him in an attempt to make voters believe that he is sane and competent. But he can’t hide his real persona from me. He remains the most unqualified candidate in history.
When Trump was allowed to be himself he was at least entertaining if not genuine. I’m sure that the late night talk show hosts are more disappointed than anyone else. They sometimes built their entire monologues around a single Trump rally.
Now Trump is just another disappointing Republican politician who has nothing to say about the issues facing America. He is just another pretender who wants free housing in our nation’s capital.
I actually miss the ‘old’ Donald myself; I had much more to write about every day.
Please re-post; everyone must know the ‘real’ Donald Trump. Thank you.
