Most Americans know about Donald Trump’s apparent effort to halt an investigation into his allegedly fraudulent Trump University, by donating $25,000 to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s campaign. He was forced to pay a $2,500 fine for using his charitable foundation’s funds, which is against federal election law. As egregious as this was, and enough to ‘lock him up,’ this is not his only campaign finance violation. He committed several ‘pay to play’ violations.
In the 1980’s, Trump exceeded the maximum contribution limit to the campaign of the president of the New York City Council by tens-of-thousands of dollars; $47,050 to be exact. He donated the money through several organizations to mask his illegal action. In 1990 Trump was fined for the largest illegal amount of money ever funneled into a campaign. In 2000, the New York State lobbying commission fined Trump $250,000 for his attempt to influence the votes of members of the city council.
When in 1988 Trump was ordered to testify about a bank loan received by Andrew J. Stein of $50,000. The loan was paid by Mr. Trump. Stein won the election with the assist of what amounted to be an illegal campaign contribution. The always arrogant Trump was unconcerned.
“I was under the impression that I was getting my money back,” he told the New York State Commission on Government Integrity.
So, the next time you hear him say “crooked Hillary,” or lead his supporters in a chant of “lock her up,” you will know that he’s actually talking about his own criminal activities.
If the media was not aiding Trump’s campaign with constant ‘non-stories’ about her e-mail, and exposed his multiple criminal actions, Hillary would be leading in all polls by 20 or more points. The hypocrisy of the media is very upsetting and simply proves that you cannot believe anything you hear on the fake television news.
A fact never reported by any mainstream media outlet is how Trump is using campaign donations today for his own purposes.
In May the RNC began issuing funds to Trump’s campaign. In June he raised the rent on his own campaign headquarters by 500 percent. He also funneled nearly a quarter of a million dollars to his golf courses and restaurants.
There is little truth in American politics, or the media. If it wasn’t for the internet, all of our nation’s people would be sheep.
Time for the truth; everything Trump does or says is immoral and a lie.
“I’m with Hillary.”
