How the “Do-Nothing” Congress Created “Trumpenstein”

My critics will say, “there he goes again blaming the Republican Party for our nation’s problems;” they would be right, but it’s also the truth. Tactics of fear, anger, hatred; gloom and doom have divided our nation’s people. Government is bad; people are inherently good. That brings me to a discussion of how Donald Trump became the standard bearer of the GOP.

Trump’s original supporters arose from a growing number of Republican voters who were angry with their party’s lack of effective leadership. They were not fooled by GOP politicians who claimed that their lack of action in Washington was justified. The polls disagreed with Republicans on multiple issues including same-sex marriage, immigration, and women’s rights. When Mitch McConnell declared that his party would do nothing with the exception of insuring that Barrack Obama was a one-term president, before the bible was closed at his inauguration, he meant it. He means it today.

Of the 17 passengers in the clown car when the season began, three of them were sitting senators; they didn’t stand a chance. Early in the campaign, Trump’s closest challenger was another non-politician, Ben Carson. Although the media never emphasized the fact that the success of both men was based on their “Washington outsider” image, this was the absolute truth.

For seven years the Republican-controlled Congress failed to pass a single piece of legislation which was of importance to the American people. They took taxpayer money and did nothing to earn it. Republicans in the house number 247; with an additional 54 in the senate. With a base salary of $174,000 per year each, that totals $52,374,000 for a single year, or $366,618,000 for doing absolutely nothing with the exception of campaigning for reelection for more than seven years. The voters swallowed their bulls**t and did give them back their lives of wealth and privilege.

This is how “Trumpenstein” was created. Reince Priebus, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and others, feigned surprise and refused to accept the truth; they took seven years to build the monster.

He is hated by millions of Americans, and nothing could prove it more than Republicans who are now supporting Hillary Clinton. Today, several of Mitt Romney’s wealthiest supporters have moved into Hillary’s camp. Another shock is that a Texas newspaper, the “Dallas Morning News,” has endorsed Hillary.

“There is only one serious candidate on the presidential ballot in November,” the editorial board wrote on Wednesday. “We recommend Hillary Clinton.”

This is why I don’t believe in polls. Democrats support Hillary; most true Independents, not those who only claim to be, support Hillary; and a growing number of Republicans are pledging their support. We all support her for the same reason; she is a serious candidate with a sound disposition who will make decisions based on information rather than from emotional instability.

Many Americans hate Trump, but the focus of their anger should be placed where it belongs; on the “do-nothing Congress.” Republicans made our nation’s government dysfunctional. They enjoy being paid for doing nothing, partly because they have no solutions for our nation’s ills; they simply don’t care.

Please re-post this article. Donald Trump must not be allowed to soil the White House sheets. Thank you.
