If you’re not very tired of the ugliness which is the 2016 presidential campaign season, you must have been in a coma for the last year. Even if you dislike Hillary Clinton, for some unsubstantiated, emotional reason, you must be aware that the rise of one man in the Republican Party has embarrassed our entire nation. When Donald Trump was confirmed as the Republican Party’s standard bearer, two important fears became reality; the GOP had allowed the least qualified candidate in history to become their candidate, and the party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, and Reagan no longer exists.
Words have no validity; actions define an individual. Trump’s continued attacks on anyone who opposes him prove that he is a man without substance, without a single qualification to make him eligible to become our nation’s leader. I just heard an ad for Trump on television. It was more than a blatant lie; the entire claim was reversed. Without offering substance, it stated that life for the working class would be better under a Trump presidency. Experts who reviewed his tax plan stated that it would greatly benefit the wealthy and increase income inequality for the majority.
While denying his recently exposed criminal activity, Trump says that ‘Hillary is not qualified to be the president because she sent e-mails while serving the American people.’
Let’s discuss the necessary qualifications to become the leader of the free world.
The candidate must have experience in government. He or she must have the intellect and knowledge to make rational decisions with the aid of competent advisors. Prior positions in government are a huge advantage. Established relationships with world leaders offers a head start when the individual takes office. Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate in our nation’s history.
What has her opponent accomplished; sacrificed for his country? He has made money. He operated a phony university. He ran a modeling agency illegally while he violated immigration laws. He bribed the Attorney General of Florida to halt investigations into that fake university. He failed to pay thousands of sub-contractors who worked on his projects. When he began to receive campaign funds from the RNC, he used tens of thousands of dollars of those funds to reimburse himself for money he previously spent to win the nomination. He has done nothing for the people of the United States of America. He took advantage of the suffering of Americans to increase his personal income.
A vote for Trump is a vote to lessen your quality of life, and endanger your families and the people of the world. A vote for Trump is a gift to a man who would once again enhance his own life at the expense of American workers. A vote for Trump is a vote to repeal parts of the Bill of Rights and denounce the principles of our founding fathers. A vote for Trump is a vote in favor of white supremacy, xenophobia, homophobia, and misogyny.
What qualities do you believe our president should possess? Are domestic issues important to you and your family? Will you vote for an American or for Donald Trump? Do you hate your government more than you love your country and fellow citizens?
Think carefully when you cast your vote; you will vote for yourself or for a megalomaniac who has no concern for improving the quality of life for most Americans.
If you agree; please re-post. Thank you.
