Trump’s Lack of Knowledge About National Security and his Phony Endorsements

What can Donald Trump possibly know about national security. He has no experience and no knowledge about how to negotiate and secure the safety of our nation’s people. The presidency; the position of Commander in Chief is not available for ‘on-the-job-training.’

An article by CNN offered a prejudicial claim that Trump’s vision of national security is superior to Clinton’s. Really?

The numbers are in support of Trump; but the expertise and quality of those who served are dedicated to Hillary Clinton. The difference is easily explained if the truth is told. Clinton understands every situation in the battle against our enemies and has received the support of the most reputable former and current members of the military and intelligence agencies. Trump’s support comes from those who are concerned about military funding and not military operations.

A case in point; during the 2012 campaign, 500 retired brass supported Mitt Romney. Today only 88 support Trump. In addition, many of those who support Trump are xenophobes who focused on Muslims as the greatest danger to America. They are also leaders who failed in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Some of these same military leaders challenged President Obama. Their statements were subtle, but offered opinions that a black president could not make good decisions.

It is not uncommon for military households to support Republicans. Lies and the fact that the military seldom seek facts regarding their fate and their future since 2001, have influenced them to make bad decisions. These decisions have resulted in a complete lack of support by Republicans when they returned home, or, in the case of surviving families, little compassion for their loss. Republicans love wars, and praise our soldiers while in battle, but when they return home they are abandoned.

Our nation must support our military to the best of our ability. That does not include the ‘brass’ which often makes poor decisions and the results are unnecessary loss of life. They also fail to ensure that when they return home they receive the medical care; physically and mentally; which will allow them to reenter life in the United States. They must also receive training which will allow them to find employment satisfactory for the needs of themselves and their families. Trump’ military supporters have expressed little concern over the needs of those who have returned from the battlefield.

Not a single member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff wants to see Trump in possession of the nuclear launch codes.

Personally, I lived through ‘thirteen days in October’ of 1962. I remember the fear that a nuclear war was inevitable. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was our president. If Donald Trump had been the president during that crisis, his weak temperament would have caused the virtual end of humanity. This is not an assumption; it is fact revealed from Trump’s own words.

America would be in danger of destruction under a Trump presidency. He lacks any qualification to allow him to become the leader of our nation or the free world. When his speeches are not scripted, he proves that his mental acuity is not sufficient to allow him to make competent decisions. This man is nothing more than a megalomaniac. His new reliance upon prepared speeches and the use of teleprompters cannot erase a year when he expressed intent to create anger, fear, racism, and prejudice in our nation.

If you continue to believe in America and a positive future for all of our people, please re-post this article. Our people have a right to know who the candidates truly are, and are asking for our votes.
