“I Could Have Stopped 9/11:” Donald Trump

Don

I have rightfully labeled many Republicans ‘hypocrites’ for being a party of the “never Trump” group who now adamantly supports him. This is not unfair, it is the truth, and Republicans hate the truth. The man they support is the biggest hypocrite of all. He has been telling his supporters that he opposed the invasion of Iraq, and the coupe in Libya. History proves that he is lying, but his “fans” appear not to be concerned.

Trump’s greatest flip-flop has been about the events of September 11, 2001.

“The World Trade Center came down because Bill Clinton didn’t kill Osama bin Laden when he had the chance to kill him. And George Bush — by the way, George Bush had the chance, also, and he didn’t listen to the advice of his C.I.A,” Trump said in a February debate that left the rest of his party sputtering.

Words mean nothing, and when they come from a man who knows nothing, they have even less credibility. When the tragedy occurred, fifteen years ago, Trump used the event to gain attention. He first praised New Yorkers for being resilient, and said that the World Trade Center would be rebuilt. Trump promised to be involved in the rebuilding on the site, but when his plans for redevelopment were rejected, he reneged, and was never heard from again, except to label the new design “disgusting.”

In 2013, he issued the following tweet, and no one is sure what he meant.

“@realDonaldTrump: I would like to extend my best wishes to all, even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th.”

While holding a rally last year, Trump had the ‘cojones’ to stare into the crowd and tell a complete lie to his supporters.

“There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations,” Trump insisted. “They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down. I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down — as those buildings came down. And that tells you something. It was well covered at the time, George. Now, I know they don’t like to talk about it, but it was well covered at the time. There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it, a heavy Arab population, that were cheering as the buildings came down. Not good.” Shortly after his lie, he called for the ban of all Muslims entering our nation.

He couldn’t resist casting more blame at a 2016 rally, but the crowd was not as receptive. Booed for deriding Bush for the 9/11 attacks, Trump told the debate audience that he “lost hundreds of friends.”

Another blatant lie, he did not know the one-in-ten victims of the cowardly attacks.

Possibly the most egregious is Trump’s claim that he opposed the invasion of Iraq, based on a 2004 article in Esquire magazine. The Iraq invasion occurred in March of 2003. Prior to that invasion, a recorded interview had a different response. When asked if he supported the invasion, he said “I guess so.”

We know that Trump promises to “fix” everything, but has also failed to offer a single method, a single concrete idea of how he would do anything. He claims that 9/11 would not have happened if he had been our nation’s president, but again doesn’t say how.

“Those people that knocked down the World Trade Center most likely under the Trump policy wouldn’t have been here to knock down the World Trade Center, just so you understand,” Trump said in August.

Trump also claims that he would have kill Osama bin Laden much earlier, even before the attacks on 9/11. He says that he would have been ‘much tougher on terrorism.’

No one can believe a single word coming from Trump’s mouth. “If his lips are moving, he’s lying.”

Please pass on the truth by re-posting. Thank you.
