There has been “much to do about nothing” regarding the Clinton Foundation. It has helped to ease the number of HIV and AIDS cases around the world. There are many questions about the Trump Foundation and his misuse of funds donated by others. The Washington Post reported that he has contributed less than $10,000 to the fund since 2008. But there is a second Clinton Foundation which proves the family’s dedication to others.
The Clinton Family Foundation supports their local firehouse, the Arkansas Ballet, and a longtime friend’s tribute to a daughter who died tragically 15 years ago, among other causes. Unlike Donald Trump, the Clinton family has donated $22.5 million to their foundation.
“The Clintons have consistently donated about 10 percent of their income each year to charity because they believe strongly in giving back to their community and helping people in need,” said Josh Schwerin, a Clinton campaign spokesman, adding, “While others lie about their charitable giving in order to boost their own image, the Clintons do this simply because it’s the right thing to do.”
While Republicans continue to seek and create scandals about Bill and Hillary Clinton, they are actually doing something positive for others.
When we look at the $25,000 campaign contribution to Pam Bondi, and a reported use of $20,000 from Trump’s foundation to pay for a six-foot painting of himself, we must question both Trump’s veracity and his sense of morality. Steeling from his own charitable foundation is, if nothing else, reprehensible.
Trump brags about everything, but can prove nothing. He claims to have donated millions of dollars to charity, but where’s the proof. Is this why he refuses to release his tax returns, or is it because he in deeply in debt as many surmise? Trump is a megalomaniac who praises himself, and says that he “can fix everything.” The truth is that his claims are truly nothing more than “hot air.”
Finally, how many Americans knew about the Clinton’s second foundation? They have not been braggadocio about their efforts, unlike the “orange man.” Doing the right thing should not be focused on an effort to receive praise from others; that’s the real American way.
“They don’t ever go out and brag about what they’re doing. They’re very private people and very good friends,” said Paul Leopoulos. “This is the family foundation, not the Clinton Foundation. They’re not the same thing.”
Hillary Clinton is the antithesis of Donald Trump. She is the most qualified candidate for our nation’s presidency in history, and Donald Trump is the least qualified. This alone should say that the election is over. This recent revelation of a second Clinton Foundation, and the growing number of questions about Trump’s foundation present more reasons why “I’m with Hillary.”
Please spread the word and repost. We need a president who will work for us. Thank you.
