One thing all racists have in common is that they believe that black men and women are intellectually inferior to whites. Trump’s campaign CEO is a member of a white supremacist group which calls itself “Alt-Right.” When Trump went to a black church in Flint, Michigan, on Wednesday, he either made a horrible decision himself, or received bad advice from his staff.
Michigan Governor, Rick Snyder, has continued his attempts to place the blame for Flint’s crisis on other members of his administration. But it was his signature which diverted water from the Detroit system to the Flint River, without competent evaluation of the situation. He, and he alone, is responsible for the crisis, and continues to deny that fact, and has failed to take steps to alleviate the problem. It should have been no surprise that the members of the church, in a mostly black city, rejected the Republican candidate.
As Trump stood before the members of Bethel Methodist Church, and began to criticize Hillary Clinton, he was immediately interrupted by Reverend Faith Green Timmons.
“Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done in Flint. Not to give a political speech,” she said.
Trump relented, saying, “Okay. That’s good. I’m going to go back onto Flint.”
Before his short appearance at the church, Trump visited a non-operational water treatment facility. Trump had nothing to say during the tour.
The Mayor of Flint, Karen Weaver, was unhappy with Trump’s visit. His staff failed to inform her of Trump’s intentions.
“Flint is focused on fixing the problems caused by lead contamination of our drinking water, not photo ops,” said Weaver, who supports Clinton and spoke at the Democratic National Convention.
As Trump was leaving the city, an unidentified black man shouted: “Are you sorry that you did not rent to black and Latino tenants?” This was a direct reference to the policy of Trump and his father in the 1970’s who refused to accommodate black Americans in their properties.
Trump’s departing motorcade was greeted with signs such as ‘thumbs down,’ and more obscene gestures.
Abraham Lincoln said “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” This has been Trump’s greatest downfall in business, and with the voting public in America.
If anyone can truthfully answer this question, I would truly appreciate it. With no one of credibility, including members of his own party denouncing Trump, how is he polling close to Hillary Clinton? This man is the worst offering by a major political party in history. Trump should be in jail, not on the campaign trail with a chance of soiling the White House sheets.
Trump will never be my president. He will never have one iota of respect from me and millions of other Americans who believe in the nation created by our founding fathers. Anyone who fails to believe in the Constitution will never have my loyalty. I seek his destruction as a candidate, a businessman, and a human being. He represents the worst of our nation and the obliteration of the dream.
