Priebus Placing Party before the Welfare of our Nation

priebus-2

When the real Republican Party existed, its leaders placed the values of our nation ahead of winning elections. I am not claiming that their efforts were not directed towards a single goal, but they were patriots who believed in the Constitution and the people of the United States of America. Today’s establishment leaders have no interest in doing the right thing; all that matters is a focus on winning elections. Reince Priebus, the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, is not a patriot, he is, in fact, a traitor.

Appearing on “Face the Nation” Sunday, he threatened Republicans who refuse to support Donald Trump. He said that the party will not support them in reelection attempts.

“People who agreed to support the nominee, that took part in our process, they used tools from the RNC. They agreed to support the nominee.” Priebus said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We’re a private party. We’re not a public entity. Those people need to get on board. And if they’re thinking they’re going to run again someday, I think that we’re going to evaluate the process – of the nomination process and I don’t think it’s going to be that easy for them.”

Personally, I believe that Priebus is the worst chairman of the RNC in my lifetime. His failures are the reason “Trumpenstein” exists. He should be fired.

The fact is that the voting public will support anti-Trump Republicans. Whether he is elected or not, the “real” Donald Trump will be well-known, and it’s not a pretty thing.

Priebus’ remarks were aimed at John Kasich and Ted Cruz, among others, who continue to refuse to offer their support for the “orange man.”

“The idea of a greater purpose beyond oneself may be alien to political party bosses like Reince Priebus, but it is at the center of everything Governor Kasich does,” said spokesman John Weaver in a statement. “He will not be bullied by a Kenosha political operative that is unable to stand up for core principles or beliefs.”

“In fact, Reince should be thanking the governor for standing for an inclusive, conservative vision that can actually win a national election and improve our country,” Weaver continued. “The governor is traveling the nation supporting down-ballot Republicans and preventing a potential national wipeout from occurring on Reince’s watch.”

Mr. Weaver is not wrong. The Republican Party is divided into three factions, and none can survive after November without finding effective leadership. Priebus, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and their fellow hypocrites must disappear from America’s political scenery. The question is; will we see Trump supporters, anti-Trump detractors, or the TEA Party or Freedom Caucus, whatever they are now calling themselves, emerge as the strongest force in American politics?

I do not know Priebus, personally, but it is hard for me to believe that he lacks sufficient intellect to understand that Trump is a danger to the United States, and the world. He is totally unqualified, and cannot be considered a true Republican. He would create additional problems for our nation and for the GOP. No one can be that stupid.

Please repost, especially if you believe that the real Republican Party, the party which existed more than 20 years ago, remains important to America’s future. Thank you.
