Donald Trump bragged about using “OPM,” other people’s money. If he was referring to his criminal actions of using money from his charity, The Trump Foundation, why isn’t he under indictment for fraud and embezzlement? The last time he donated any money to his foundation was in 2007, and it was reported to be a small amount; $10,000.
The Washington Post reported that he funneled $258,000 from the foundation to settle disputes related to his for-profit businesses. Of course everyone knows about his campaign finance violation when he donated $25,000 to the reelection of Pam Bondi, the Florida Attorney General. Charitable foundations are forbidden from donating to political campaigns. Wasn’t it interesting that before she received the contribution, Bondi was considering an investigation of Trump University. After receiving Trump’s money, she cancelled all investigations into the controversial organization.
A question to all Trump supporters. Isn’t the character, the morality, and the honesty of a presidential candidate important. Trump claims that mistakes made by Hillary Clinton while she served the American people confirmed her dishonesty, but what about his own, which was intentional? How can anyone support a man who is aligned with white supremacists, unless they are in agreement with racists and bigots? Trump’s only “qualification” for the presidency is that he is a successful businessman. We know that he has failed more often than he succeeded. He filed for bankruptcy at least four times; failed to pay his contractors, which resulted in numerous lawsuits; and has ties to other “businessmen” whose practices are suspicious. Trump refuses to release his tax returns, proving that he is not what he claims to be.
His misuse of foundation funds is so egregious that the mainstream media was forced to report the story; no ‘free pass’ on this one.
The truth: all criticism of Donald Trump is valid. His running mate and campaign chairman can deny anything, but it cannot dispute the facts. They are supporting a criminal, and a man without morals. He has no concern for our nation or the future of our people.
My greatest condemnation is directed at Reince Priebus and other failed leaders of the Republican Party for allowing Trump to receive their party’s nomination. It is an insult to our founding fathers that Trump is representing the party of Lincoln. We need only to look at Priebus, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and others who have failed their party and the American people, to know that the Republican Party exists in name only.
It was no surprise to me when it was revealed that George H.W. Bush is voting for Hillary Clinton. He was the last real Republican to hold the office of President of the United States. He knows the difficulty of the office, and is fully aware that Donald Trump is not qualified to lead our nation.
The American people must follow Mr. Bush’s example and vote for the woman who will lead our nation effectively. She will work for all of our nation, and not only for special interests. As the most qualified candidate in history, she will face our nation’s challenges from day one. She will surround herself with qualified men and women who will offer intelligent options and find solutions for the majority.
