The list is getting longer. The criminal actions by Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump are piling up. They began with what will surely prove to be his fraudulent “Trump University.” Then the “Trump Foundation” was proven to be a foundation to support Trump’s legal difficulties, and to allow him to contribute to the reelection campaign of Pam Bondi who then ceased her intended investigation into Trump University. His “modeling agency” was a front allowing him to bring to America young women from around the world on “tourist visas,” and secure modeling jobs for them, paying them little and making Trump tens-of-thousands of dollars while they lived in squalor conditions. By acquiring them jobs, he was violating immigration law; none of them has acquired work visas.
The media is allowing Trump a free pass regarding these crimes, but how many will it take to force the authorities to indict him?
There is another crime reported by Newsweek. It involves Trump’s first target during the primaries; Jeb Bush. Trump’s lies so frequently, he has forgotten what he said even days before.
As Newsweek’s Kurt Eichenwald put it: “Donald Trump committed perjury. Or he looked into the faces of the Republican faithful and knowingly lied. There is no third option.”
Donald Trump’s business practices have been questionable for decades. He admits to bribing public officials to obtain important items such as zoning rights or influence in a governmental decision. During the second debate, Jeb Bush claimed that Trump attempted to bribe him while he was the Governor of Florida. Trump wanted to legalize gambling in the Sunshine State.
Trump called the younger Bush a liar. He said: “If I wanted it, I would have gotten it.”
In a deposition in 2007, Trump had filed a lawsuit against a former ‘agent,’ Richard Fields. Trump claimed he had taken funds given to him and failed to complete his contract. Here is a part of the deposition.
A lawyer asked Trump, “Did you yourself do anything to obtain any of the details with respect to the Florida gaming environment, what approvals were needed and so forth?”
Trump: A little bit.
Lawyer: What did you do?
Trump: I actually spoke with Governor-elect Bush; I had a big fundraiser for Governor-elect Bush…and I think it was his most successful fundraiser, the most successful that he had had up until that point, that was in Trump Tower in New York on Fifth Avenue.
Lawyer: When was that?
Trump: Sometime prior to his election.
Lawyer: You knew that Governor Bush, Jeb Bush at that time, was opposed to expansion of gaming in Florida, didn’t you?
Trump: I thought that he could be convinced otherwise.
Lawyer: But you didn’t change his mind about his anti-gaming stance, did you?
Trump: Well, I never really had that much of an opportunity because Fields resigned, telling me you could never get what we wanted done, only to do it for another company.
Where is the truth? Either Trump lied to the Republican Party, or he committed perjury.
There is a chance that uninformed voters could elect Trump as our president in November. This would be the first time that a known criminal was allowed to live in the White House. We have had immoral and unethical men living in our nation’s most revered residence previously, but had not been exposed of criminal activity prior to their election.
Okay America; I ask you to repost many of my rants, but this one may be the most important. The America I have loved for all of my 70 years must be protected from the evil which is Donald Trump.
