Donald Trump continues to blatantly lie to the American people. I’ve used an old line to describe his rhetoric many times; “if his lips are moving, he’s lying.” Never before in the history of a presidential campaign has the media allowed one of the candidates to lie so frequently. They are failing the American people, and could be the reason for the destruction of our nation.
Trump lies about everything. He claims that Americans pay some of the highest taxes in the world; dead wrong. In reality, our taxes are too low. Our government spends more money than it receives.
He continues to claim that he opposed the invasion of Iraq before the March, 2003, military action. He approved it.
For years Trump led the “birther movement.” He claimed that President Obama was not born in the United States. Although his lie was proven false multiple times, he continued to spew his racist contention until very recently.
Rob Stutzman is a Republican strategist. He says that Trump can say anything as long as he continues to attack the establishment and claim that government is totally corrupt.
“It gives him not only license, but incentive to spin fantasy, because no one expects him to tell the truth,” said Stutzman, who worked against Trump during the primaries. “They believe they’re getting lied to constantly, so if their hero tells lies in order to strike back, they don’t care.”
If this doesn’t frighten you; it should. Millions of voters do not care about their own future or the future of the nation. They are supporting a proven criminal; a man without morals. His use of fear tactics to incite anger and hatred is unforgivable. Instead of encouraging hope for our nation’s future and improving the quality of life for all Americans, he is promoting a dark picture. Trump’s support of white supremacists defines the man millions want to allow residence in the White House.
Trump is neither a Republican nor an American. He represents the worst of our nation; those who refuse to accept change and seek a movement to return our nation to the 1950’s when the Constitutional rights of millions of Americans were denied.
Talk is cheap, and so is Trump. He is a man who lacks substance. When he speaks to his followers, he utters any nonsense which will release the emotions of his supporters. There is nothing real about Donald Trump; as Mitt Romney says “he is a phony.”
Today the first debate will take place between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The big question is ‘will Lester Holt continue to allow Trump to talk around the issues or offer lies as answers?’
Donald Trump must not be allowed to soil the White House sheets; please repost. Thank you.
