Lester Holt was a Wuss and Allowed Donald Trump to Control the Debate

Lies, innuendos, misdirection, attacks, and a failure to respond directly to questions were Donald Trump’s tactics in the first debate. Lester Holt followed his fellow television personality, Matt Lauer, by failing to demand that Trump offer any substance to his answers, or stop his rants and demand positive responses. Pitiful. The term ‘debate’ was not applicable. Trump once again had no answers to the questions. We remain without answers about how he would defeat ISIS, or how he would actually bring jobs back to America. He claimed that President Obama and Hillary Clinton have failed both domestically and internationally, although Hillary offered facts describing their successes which were extremely beneficial to our nation and the world.

Most impressive for me was the manner in which Hillary Clinton exposed Trump’s racism, bigotry, and misogyny. She never offered a single vicious attack, but managed to include the truth about Donald Trump. Since the 1970’s Trump discriminated against blacks seeking residence in his New York area apartments. He faced two lawsuits, and defended his actions claiming that many other agencies conspired to take the same action. She revealed his questionable business practices, including many bankruptcies, and his failure to pay contractors for completed work on his projects. She listed Trump’s continuous name calling of women, including his ten-point evaluation of their physical appearance.

Trump was unarmed in the debate. Any point which might have been considered viable by his supporters was discounted.

Sadly, Lester Holt confirmed that he is not a legitimate journalist. He frequently allowed Trump to speak over Hillary’s comments. It made me ask cowardly NBC management; “where is Brian Williams.”

Trump offered nothing to intelligent voters who understand the seriousness of this election. He was un-prepared, and failed to offer any undecided voter a concrete solution to our nation’s problems.

I am not generally a conspiracy theorist. However, it appeared that those who believe that Trumps intention was to guarantee a Clinton presidency were truthful. He demonstrated to the American people that he is far from qualified to become our nation’s 45th president.

The following is an example of a weak attempt to discredit both President Obama and Hillary Clinton who reversed the greatest recession since the depression of 1929.

“We have to do a much better job at giving companies incentives to build new companies or to expand,” Trump said in a long exchange on trade, one of many in which he tried to paint Clinton as the long-time face of a failed establishment. “Because they’re not doing it. And what you have to do is look at Michigan and look at Ohio and look at all of these places where so many of their jobs and their companies are just leaving, They’re gone. And Hillary, I’ll just ask you this. You’ve been doing this for 30 years. Why are you just thinking about these solutions right now? For 30 years, you’ve been doing it, and now you’re just starting to think of solutions.”

Trump failed to include the failure of ‘trickle-down economics,’ and the elimination of controls over Wall Street which led to the destruction of our economy in 2008. History has proven that the American economy flourishes under Democratic control, and suffers under Republican administrations.

The bottom line is that Hillary Clinton appeared “presidential,” while Trump appeared desperate and uninformed.

Of course I will not be surprised if the mainstream media sees it differently. They are desperate to keep Trump included as a possible successor to President Obama. The ‘fourth estate’ has become more concerned with ratings than the future of our nation.

The fact that the media describes this as a “close election” is demeaning to our nation. They have been the driving force behind Donald Trump, and the must be exposed.

Please repost and defeat the media and Donald Trump; thank you.
