I have been told that I’m too logical sometimes, and that I unrealistically expect the same from others. That may be true, but I believe that this election will shape the future of our nation and the world. The proof is in the events of 2000 and 2003 after our nation elected a totally unqualified president. When he left office, our nation was in two wars, thousands of our military had been killed or wounded on the battlefield, our economy approached a depression, and our nation’s reputation around the world was severely damaged.

When I see the media allow Trump a free pass several times a day, I become enraged. His lies are seldom exposed. The day after he failed in the debate, he claimed that he had been endorsed by ICE, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. This was another lie, never revealed to the American people by our failed media. ICE is a government agency and cannot endorse a candidate; Trump simply made it up.

Another issue which angers me is why hasn’t the media exposed Trump’s unqualified and immoral staff? They have supported him when he attempts to detract American voters from the fact that he is racist, bigoted, and a misogynist. But his campaign CEO is a misogynist, a homophobe, anti-Semitic, and a member of “Alt-Right,” an organization of white supremacists. His campaign chairman has no experience in campaigns; she is nothing more than a “spin doctor.” Her purpose is to explain Donald Trump’s lies. His deputy campaign manager has but a single purpose; to create conspiracy theories.

The media continues to allow Trump to say that he will “fix” everything but offers no specifics, while Hillary Clinton offers details about her every proposal; the public never hears about that fact.

What really “bugs” me is the way the media and the late-night talk show hosts demean Hillary Clinton. They continue to say that she is considered dishonest and unlikeable. The late night comics persist to claim that both candidates are undesirable.

Let me tell the truth. The candidates are as opposite as any two in our nation’s history. There is a clear choice, and it will be a crime if Hillary would lose to a phony and a buffoon.

The media refuses to tell the American people the truth. Not only is Donald Trump completely unqualified to be our president, he is immoral, a liar, and a proven criminal.

The biggest lie is that he is a successful businessman. A detailed article reported that he is $650,000,000 in debt. He has declared bankruptcy six times, forcing him to illegally use money from his own charitable foundation for personal use. The best known is when he contributed $25,000 from his “foundation” to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s reelection campaign. He brings in models from other nations on “tourist visas,” and then puts them to work. This is a violation of immigration laws; they were not issued work visas. He has been forced to pay fines multiple times for bribing public officials with large campaign contributions. He brags about making money from the pain of working class Americans when the housing market crashed. He prefers to use “other people’s money.” Trump has failed to pay contractors multiple time. Is this the man you want as your president?

Hillary Clinton has served the American people for most of her adult life. As First Lady, a United States Senator, and Secretary of State, she is by far the most qualified candidate in history. This, alone, is reason enough for me to be a supporter. Constant efforts to discredit her impressive career are just that. Her life has been filled with honest efforts to serve the American people. She made mistakes; admitted to them; but was never found to have intentionally committed any criminal action. While the media continues to keep Trump’s attacks alive, they fail to inspect actual crimes committed by the “orange man.” This is a great disservice to our nation and the American people.

I have a reason to be upset; Hillary Clinton has the ability and experience to become a great president. She has promised to work across the aisle and reunite our government. She will force true Republicans to reject the extremist TEA Party, or Freedom Caucus, whatever they choose to call themselves today, and retake control of the GOP. Democracy will return to Washington.

I feel better; I’m not happy, thanks to the failure of our nation’s media, but this has been cathartic.
