I have multiple questions for anyone who considers themselves an American, a patriot, and an intelligent member of the electorate. Let’s begin with the NRA, one of my favorite examples of an un-American lobby.
The gun lobby, which is no longer the advocate for gun safety, and intelligent gun ownership, is offering the American people the most fallacious ads in history. They are claiming that if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency, she will appoint Supreme Court justices who will repeal the second amendment. This is the most blatant lie I have ever seen or heard. Not a single supporter of gun control, including myself, has ever suggested that qualified Americans should not be allowed to possess their toys which endanger their families and offer an opportunity for mass destruction.
The entire 2016 election season has witnessed more lies than any other in the history of our nation, and the media is allowing this to happen. The ‘fourth estate’ no longer exists. It is involved in ratings; not the truth.
The next questions I have are all concerned with the two presidential candidates. I will not be politically correct, or kind; I want the truth.
If you support Trump; why? If you say that he “tells it like it is,” or that he will “make America great again,” please define. If ‘telling it like it is’ means supporting racism and bigotry, I know who and what you are. If you do not align yourself with groups who hate the America of our founding fathers, and still support Trump; again I ask why?
Trump is a proven racist, bigot, misogynist and an un-American. He is literally a criminal, a failed businessman, and hates the working class. Why do you support someone who will never support you?
If you believe in his slogan, you fail to know the history of our nation. “Make America Great Again” is intended to instigate an emotional response. America has never been great after its auspicious beginnings. Racism and prejudice have permeated our nation for 240 years, and is escalating once again.
How can any working class American support a man whose proposals would be a gift to the wealthy and harm the future of your loved ones? How could any American who believes in peace and prosperity favor the presidency of a man who loves war, and has no understanding regarding international relations and national security? How can any patriot support a man who associates with white supremacists, homophobes, misogynists, and elitists?
If any voter believes that Trump is a successful businessman without his criminal activities of bribing public officials, declaring multiple bankruptcies, and refusing to pay contractors resulting in many lawsuits, they are in a severe state of denial.
I find it difficult to believe that any American believes that Trump cares about us. He has no awareness of life for the majority. He is a privileged, wealthy man, who has no understanding of the plight of the working man in America.
My final questions are related to the resistance of the American people to offer their complete support for Hillary Clinton. It is easy to make allegations and offer innuendos regarding another person’s character or honesty. But without proof, they are merely desperate tactics to deny Hillary Clinton what she deserves. She must become the first female president, not because of her gender, but because of her qualifications and her lifelong dedication to the American people.
I ask the American people; if you deny the last eight years of attempts to discredit Hillary Clinton, which have failed, what deficiencies do you see? She is the most qualified candidate in American history. She will represent more than 300 million Americans and deny the special interests supported by the Republican Party. She will work for the rights of all Americans to receive an opportunity to improve their lives. She supports the right of all of our young men and women to receive a higher level of education without placing them in debt for a lifetime. She would improve our healthcare system to ensure that not only all Americans receive the best care available, equal to our legislators in Washington, but would be affordable and offer less cost for our government and those who will be insured. She will guarantee total equality for women in every situation. No longer will men dominate our society and place women in a second class position.
Income inequality is a serious problem, and Hillary will address what has been ignored by Republicans for generations. She will protect all of the Constitution, not just the sections supported by the right wing. Regarding gun control, she will represent the 90 percent of Americans who are not gun advocates, and offer them protection as they go about their daily lives. This in no way involves the elimination of gun ownership, but would demand comprehensive background checks for all gun sales, and the elimination of military style weapons and high-output magazines. She would also insure that any individual deemed dangerous by the FBI, and forbade to fly on our airlines, would also be refused access to weapons.
If you are against any of my questions; you are a “diehard” Trump supporter. I pity you for your lack of concern for America.
