Conservatives believe that all ideas proposed by liberals or progressives are un-American, and even evil. Why? Progressives do not feel the same. They seek new ideas and keep an open mind until they research the facts. The difference between the two is simple; conservatives watch the GOP propaganda machine, FOX Noise.
If you believe the lies and innuendos from FOX Noise personalities, you have allowed your mind to be poisoned; you are brainwashed. America works best when we have two strong parties who deliberate and compromise to find solutions for our nation’s problems. The division in our nation is extremely destructive.
What has changed? What has forced our government to become dysfunctional? The truth will never be told by the media; today’s Republican Party is more concerned about winning elections than the future of our nation and its people. There is no similarity to the Republicans of the Reagan or George H.W. Bush Administrations.
Supporters of Donald Trump rush to hear his empty rhetoric. They don’t want to hear the truth from Hillary Clinton. Although she has offered detailed solutions for our nation’s ills, Trump’s speech has no substance. He doesn’t know how to positively work in Washington. He would be the greatest failure in our nation’s history; we cannot accept the possibility of a Trump presidency.
The people of our nation are the least informed in the world. They rely on television for their information. There is not a single “news” show on television that has the courage to offer Americans the facts; all of the facts, and allow them to make their own decisions. The once treasured fourth estate no longer exists. Myself, and thousands of others offer more information than all of the television news broadcasts put together.
If you want proof, look at this election season. Donald Trump has a very low standard for the media; Hillary Clinton is expected to be perfect; not just competent; perfect.
Print and online publications offer some truth and are far more factual than television. For 126 years the Arizona Republic has supported the GOP candidate for the presidency; it has endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016. Today USA Today denounced Donald Trump. Although it failed to endorse another candidate, it suggested that voters ‘vote for anyone but Trump.’
FOX Noise set a new ‘standard’ for ‘news’ networks. Its priorities are in the following order; ratings, profit, and misleading “facts.”
Former President Roger Ailes instructed his personalities to say anything, true or not, which would increase viewership. The mainstream media has followed his lead. Although they may not lie as viciously as FOX, they omit facts, and often mislead the American people by offering opinions in sometimes subtle ways.
The largest voting bloc in our nation is now composed of millennials. They do not read newspapers; they do not watch television news broadcasts; they seek information on the internet. They are therefore more informed than baby boomers, which were formerly the largest bloc of voters.
Our nation is changing whether conservatives like it or not. I may not live to see it, but with time, racism will disappear; homophobia will be a past memory; and women will be equal to men in all situations. Because more women are attending college today than men in America, they will likely become the controlling force in the United States.
If you don’t want to accept change in America, you’d better plan to die within the next 20 years or move away.
