According to the attached article, I can only assume that all of Donald Trump’s supporters are ‘super rich,’ or extremely ignorant.
“He’s a genius — absolute genius,” Rudy Giuliani said on ABC’s “This Week.” “This was a perfectly legal application of the tax code, and he would’ve been a fool not to take advantage of it.”
I didn’t know that Trump did his own taxes; I’m poor, and even I have a “tax person.” If the failed former Mayor of New York is talking about his tax plan, fiscal experts have proven that it would be a gift to the super wealthy, add trillions of dollars to the deficit, and do nothing favorable for the working class.
Right here we must look at Trump’s entourage. His three best known “boot lickers” are Chris Christie, Rudy Giuliani, and Newt Gingrich. This is not a group to offer a great deal of pride in their accomplishments. All three are hoping for jobs in Trump’s cabinet, and none of the three know anything about effective governing.
Christie is leaving office as the Governor of New Jersey with a 29 percent approval rating. His participation in “bridgegate” is likely to blame for much of it, and his association with Trump greatly adds to his low numbers.
Giuliani did nothing in office with the exception of approving the unconstitutional act of “stop and frisk.” His claim to fame is that he just happened to be the Mayor of New York when the tragedy of 9/11 occurred. He is a well-known philander, and has proven that he knows nothing by his ridiculous rhetoric.
Gingrich was forced to resign from both the House and as the Speaker after multiple criminal investigations. He too is a philanderer, but his is even more egregious. He left his first wife because ‘she was not attractive enough for the incredibly handsome Gingrich.’ When his second wife refused to agree to an ‘open marriage,’ he served her divorce papers while she was fighting cancer in the hospital. He was credited with labeling the Republican Party as the “party of family values.” Really?
I decided to look up the definition of “genius.” As more and more facts are revealed about Trump’s failures in business, his possible criminal actions regarding his “foundation,” and his alleged fraudulent Trump University, I could not understand how Giuliani could possibly label the “orange man” a “genius.”
Genius: “Very great and rare natural ability or skill, especially in a particular area such as science or art.” Hmmm; that doesn’t seem to apply to Trump.
I searched my online dictionary for a word that accurately described Trump’s rhetoric, and his persona. It took a while, but I found a definition which fits him word for word.
Braggart: “Someone who proudly talks a lot about himself or herself and his or her achievements or possessions.” There it is; that’s Donald Trump. A man who loves himself because no one else will.
I would expect Giuliani to believe that Trump is a genius. I have listened to ‘Rudy’ for years, and he is definitely a few cards short of a full deck. He compliments Trump well. They are both desperate to receive attention from the public.
Genius is a word which is tossed around all too frequently. In this case, I think we can toss it out.
