The numbers of “real” Republicans who are declaring that they will vote for Hillary are rising. Most recently, the former Republican Governor of Michigan, William “Bill” Milliken, said he will add his name to the list.
“This nation has long prided itself on its abiding commitments to tolerance, civility and equality. We face a critically important choice in this year’s presidential election that will define whether we maintain our commitment to those ideals or embark on a path that has doomed other governments and nations throughout history,” Milliken said in a statement. “I am saddened and dismayed that the Republican Party this year has nominated a candidate who has repeatedly demonstrated that he does not embrace those ideals.
“Because I feel so strongly about our nation’s future, I will be joining the growing list of former and present government officials in casting my vote for Hillary Clinton for president in 2016.”
Of course RINO Republicans; those who support Donald Trump but not the country or the principles of the GOP; are denouncing Milliken, facetiously claiming that he is not a real Republican. His statement was very clear; he loves his country and refuses to vote for a racist, a criminal, and a misogynist. Those supporting Trump care about one thing, and one thing only; elections.
The only reason hundreds of more who call themselves Republicans are not switching to Hillary as their choice for the presidency is because of elections. I believe that for many who will seek reelection in the future, and are adamant Trump supporters, they will find rejection by anti-Trump Republicans and, more importantly, voters. Their action will have a ‘boomerang effect.’
If you believe in the America of our founding fathers, and consider yourself a patriot, you cannot be hypocritical and vote for a man who does not believe in our nation’s future, and continuously denies parts of the Constitution. Character, morals, and principles are critical when considering a president. Some will claim that Hillary is not trustworthy, but here is the truth.
While Donald Trump was bilking contractors and bribing public officials, Hillary Clinton was serving the American people. Did she make some mistakes? Of course. No one who works at their craft is perfect. She has admitted that fact, but has not been charged with a single illegal action. Donald Trump has been sued multiple times, filed for bankruptcy six times, and will likely face criminal charges for actions related to his “foundation” and “Trump University.”
It is apparent that Trump’s charity was merely a lending bank for Donald Trump, and that his “university” was a type of “ponzi scheme.”
Not a single female who calls herself a woman could possibly vote for Trump. He is the worst of the term misogynist. He is what he is, an old sexist who views women as objects.
If any of this describes Trump, he is unfit to be our nation’s president. Add to this the fact that he has surrounded himself with white supremacists and conspiracy theorists, and you witness a man who is a despicable human being who should never receive consideration at any level for public office; never for our president. Any Republican who supports him should be removed from office; they do not represent the American people.
Time is short; let’s imprison Trump in his golden tower, not in the White House. Please repost; thank you.
