Donald Trump attacks everyone, eventually. He is a foul man who runs a campaign based on fear, hatred, and violence. But denying the suffering of our military who have come home from two or more tours on the battlefield, and are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is going too far.
Attacking John McCain for his years of torture in a prison camp was despicable. Now, Trump is treating our military who are have come home suffering severe mental anguish without compassion.
“When people come back from war and combat and they see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it,” Trump told an audience that included a number of senior former military officers Monday morning.
What would Donald Trump know about the suffering our military and their families endure? According to multiple reports, he dodged the draft during the Vietnam War. He is a weak man, mentally, and morally.
Okay, America, let’s tell the truth: Donald Trump is part of our past, and not the good part. Like me, he is a 70-year-old man, but unlike me he refuses to accept the changes in our nation. We cannot ignore the mistakes made by our government; we must learn from them. We are a nation who eagerly rushes to war, and every need our veterans present when they come home must be cared for to the best of our ability.
We are a nation of immigrants; Trump does not appear to be a native American himself. We must be vigilant; our security services must be wise and act prior to the dangers presented by our enemies; and we must accept the fact that Caucasians will soon be the minority.
One more thing; the largest growing groups related to religion are Muslims and atheists. Trump ignores this fact. Millennials are not practicing Christian religions in the same numbers as their parents. More than 60 million Americans refuse to join any of these cults, and that number is on the rise.
When Trump and I were much younger, almost all stores were closed on Sundays. It was considered a day of worship, and everyone, including employees of retail stores, was expected to attend church services. As corporate greed began to grow, not only did shopping centers remain open on Sunday, some are in operation on Christmas Day. Times are changing, and with it ideas regarding many things, including religion.
I refuse to allow another man or woman to tell me how I should live my life, and what to believe. I have a conscience, and I was raised to have a strong understanding of morality.
Trump must accept the fact that change is inevitable. With each new generation ideas promote changes in beliefs. Millennials are now the largest voting bloc in America. They denounce war, corporations, racism, and religion. More women are attending college than men, and misogynists such as Donald Trump will be cast out of society.
Sorry, Donald, change cannot be stopped. Our military who served in combat must be respected and cared for without reservation. Whether they served on the battlefield, or suffered as a prisoner of war, they frequently come home with PTSD; it’s real, and it’s painful for them and their loved ones.
Please repost this and inform the American people about Donald Trump. Thank you.
