Ayotte Calls Trump a “Role Model” for Kids: Then She Didn’t

ayotte-2

Kelly Ayotte is a first term Republican Senator from New Hampshire. I have labeled her and others “hypocrites” for their anti-Trump stance reversal. She is up for reelection, and places her own ambitions and her party ahead of our nation and our people.

Ayotte was asked by a moderator during the NECN debate: “Would you tell them to be like Donald Trump? Would you point to him as a role model?”

“I think that certainly there are many role models that we have, and I believe he can serve as president and so, absolutely. I would do that,” she said at the New England College hosted debate in Henniker, New Hampshire.

So Ayotte believes that children should learn racism, sexism, homophobia, and bigotry from Mr. Trump. Should they also be taught that white supremacy is valid? She believes that little boys should learn that they are superior to little girls, and that they are merely sex object. Should children be taught that success at any cost is valid; even if it involves stealing money from a charity or bribing public officials? Does she really believe in the incitement of fear, anger, hatred, and violence as a valid tactic to win elections?

After the debate was over, Ayotte reneged somewhat; changing her response.

“I misspoke tonight. While I would hope all of our children would aspire to be president, neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton have set a good example and I wouldn’t hold either of them as role models for my kids.” I couldn’t help but notice that she had to emulate Trump and attack Hillary; the most qualified candidate in history, and a woman credited for fighting for children her entire adult life.

Ayotte’s seat is contested by Democrat, Maggie Hassan. She said that she will not endorse Trump, but will vote for him. She is a hypocrite for not voting her conscience and choosing to vote for her party, even if that candidate is a danger to the American way of life.

“I will take on my own party,” Ayotte told CNN in Nashua in August. “I really believe that this is a big issue in this race — that I am the one candidate that will stand up to whomever is in the White House to do good things when we can work together — also when it’s wrong to stand up to them.”

I don’t believe her. She is a perfect example of an ambitious politician who will say or do anything to win her reelection bid. This has become the standard for Republicans; win at all cost. They do not serve their country or the people of the United States.

Republicans constantly criticize Hillary for misstatements and mistakes made during her decades of service, but deny similar actions by their own.

Ayotte is a perfect example of an incumbent who should not be allowed to continue her privileged life in Washington.

If you believe that the best candidate should win an election, please repost. Thank you.
