McCain no Longer Believes in “Country First:” It’s now “Party First”

McCain

When John McCain ran for president in 2008, his slogan was “Country First.” I believed he meant it. All through the 2016 primary season he denounced Donald Trump as unfit to be the Republican nominee, and therefore the President of the United States. When Trump won the nomination, McCain turned 180 degrees and now supports him and will vote for the most unqualified candidate in history. He has forgotten that Trump said that he was not a hero because he spent years as a prisoner of war. He has joined all the other hypocrites in the GOP and places his party before his country. McCain is up for reelection in November, and he has lost his courage and can no longer be called a “maverick.”

McCain is defending Trump’s comments about returning soldiers suffering from PTSD. He is joining other Republican spin doctors who are fighting to have a despicable man achieve his ambitions, although he hates America.

“This is kind of the classic example of the media feeding frenzy that is going on. The bias that is in the media,” McCain said during a meeting with the Arizona Daily Star’s editorial board.

“What he is saying is that some people, for whatever reason, and we really don’t understand why, suffer from PTSD, and others don’t.”

Now McCain is speaking for Trump. I am ashamed to say that I once supported this relic of the man he once was.

Donald Trump has removed all credibility from the Republican Party. They do not deserve the respect and support of the American people. He is an immoral man who has never told the truth, while casting aspersions on anyone who refuses to agree with him. His weak temperament alone disqualifies him to lead our nation and the world.

Rachel Maddow addressed the issue on her show. She pointed to the fact that this is another vile attack on those who least deserve his rants. He has no compassion, and no concern for anyone other than Donald Trump.

Rachel said: “[T]hat equation of strong people not needing help, strong people being able to handle it – and people who are presumably not strong, not being able to handle it – that is a construction around mental health, that is a stigmatizing framework for talking about mental health and post-traumatic stress and suicide prevention that veterans and every responsible person anywhere near that field has been trying desperately to undo for years now.

“That’s like the one thing you don’t say if you know anything about this issue, if you have ever talked to anybody involved in it, if you have ever taken it seriously. That’s the framework that they have been trying to undo any way they can.”

The one thing no one is saying out loud; certainly not the media, is that Trump lacks the intellect to think before he speaks. If he is “speaking from his heart;” that heart is black.

I find it hilarious that Trump has the nerve to claim that Hillary Clinton’s campaign is attacking him in their ads. They are using his own words and actions to reveal to all Americans what a degenerate Trump truly is.

John McCain may be defeated in November; we can only hope. He’s one of the ‘dinosaurs’ in Washington who should be forced to retire.

If you believe that we need to force Congress to accept term limits; pleas repost. Thank you.
