The media will not report these facts; they have supported Donald Trump for more than 15 months. But the facts are that every day I read about more Republicans who refuse to vote for Donald Trump. Some are voting for Hillary, and others for Gary Johnson or will write in another name.
Today 30 more former GOP lawmakers have signed a pledge not to support Trump.
“Given the enormous power of the office, every candidate for president must be judged rigorously in assessing whether he or she has the competence, intelligence, knowledge, understanding, empathy, judgment, and temperament necessary to keep America on a safe and steady course,” the lawmakers wrote. “Donald Trump fails on each of those measures, and he has proven himself manifestly unqualified to be president.”
More than 50 newspapers have endorsed Hillary Clinton or advised their readers not to cast their ballot for Trump; none have endorsed the “orange man.” Several of these publications have formerly supported Republicans for decades.
I do not consider Donald Trump supporters who call themselves Republicans members of the party of Lincoln, or even patriots. They support a man who denies the principles of our founding fathers, and our most sacred document; the Constitution. Rudy Giuliani is the most avid Trump supporter. Regardless of whatever vile statements his idol makes; he spins the truth and even conjures conspiracy theories. But his daughter opposes Trump; she is obviously intelligent, and makes me ask if she is truly his biological child.
Caroline Giuliani’s Facebook page clearly states the she “loves” Hillary. She joins those of us who love our nation and are concerned about its future.
“I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while,” Caroline Giuliani told Politico. “My dad knows. I was for Barack [Obama] in 2012. He knows and is fully comfortable with it and thinks I have a right to my opinion.”
In my opinion, this election has enormous importance. The right wing has become far too extreme and is a danger to the America which nurtured me for 70 years. Trump is regressive, and would not move our nation forward. He is in denial of the fact that change is inevitable. In a very short period of time, our country will no longer be dominated by old white men. Millennials are the largest voting bloc in the nation, followed by all women.
We must have a president who will reject a looming plutocracy, and return democracy to Washington. Our 45th president must represent all of America; not just the one-percent. Voters must reject the efforts of Republicans and the media to discredit Hillary Clinton. She is not only the most qualified candidate in history; she offers ideas which will make our nation great once again. Trump talks a lot, but offers no substance.
Donald Trump is crude, prejudiced, and lacks concern for the majority of the American people. How could anyone who possesses even the slightest amount of compassion suggest that Americans who are terminally ill “hold on until November 8th, and vote for him?” Every time I believe Trump has reached his lowest level possible, he finds a way to dig his hole deeper.
