Recordings from “The Apprentice,” “Access Hollywood,” and the “Howard Stern Show,” have exposed Donald Trump regarding his attitude towards women; he objectifies them. His own words prove that he views them as useful for a single purpose. He is totally unfit to represent the people of the United States of America. This is not who we are.
Our nation is changing. Women are the second largest voting bloc in our nation. There are more women attending college today than men, and will soon control the workforce. America is likely to inaugurate its first woman president on January 20, 2017, and my own state will hopefully elect our nation’s first Latina Senator in Catherine Cortez Masto.
According to a poll by Politico, Republican voters do not believe that Trump should end his campaign. 45 percent favor him for the presidency, and only 39 percent believe he should resign. Really?
For me this is additional proof that the entire Republican Party supports misogyny, racism, bigotry, and the denial of Muslim-Americans to be protected under the Constitution.
Donald Trump does not represent the American people; he is not loyal to our nation or its citizens. Donald Trump is concerned about Donald Trump, and only uninformed and uneducated people can deny that fact.
After reviewing the video of Trump’s unforgivable comments about women and his “privileged” actions with them because of his “fame,” my response was, to say the least, ‘disheartening.’
“But just 48 percent of GOP voters said it makes them feel less favorably toward Trump, while 36 percent said it doesn’t affect their opinions of Trump.”
My nation is in serious danger of devolving in to a nation dominated by prejudice, fear, anger, and hatred. Understanding and compassion are diminishing qualities within our nation. Polls such as these prove that fact, and signify the end of our forefather’s dreams.
However, for the future there is some good news. The majority of those polled were age 50 or over. They will lose their dominance over the GOP in just a few years. Millennials are the largest voting bloc in America and they deny Donald Trump’s validity for seeking the presidency. He is a 70-year-old-man who should retire in his golden penthouse, and leave the responsibility of running our nation to someone who has earned that right, and knows how to accomplish their goals.
I have been embarrassed for more than 15 months because of “Trumpenstein;” now I am ashamed of millions of my countrymen.
