Years of failed Republican leadership created “Trumpenstein;” about that, there is no doubt. The man they knew was depraved and exemplified the worst of America has now been completely exposed. The hypocrites who supported him, after denouncing him, are now scrambling to save their own political careers. Although the entire situation is destructive to our nation in multiple ways, and I would love to find a little pleasure in the fact because the extremists on the right caused all of this, but I cannot. The GOP is imploding faster than I ever imagined. The number of those becoming anti-Trump Republicans is rapidly growing, and Trump’s supporters are displaying a level of anger which proves that it will vote for no one else, regardless of how serious the charges against Donald Trump are. They don’t care that he is a proven racist, bigot, sexist, misogynist, and an Islamophobe.
I have labeled Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan as the biggest hypocrites in the Republican Party. McConnell is a traitor to America, but is not the greatest reason for all of this destruction; he lacks sufficient intellect to lead any movement. McConnell is the leader of the “do-nothing” party.
Paul Ryan is another story. He is a great disappointment for me and many others who are not ‘card-carrying’ Republicans. He refused to consider Trump a viable candidate until he became the presumptive nominee. Like most of us, his reasons were many, but most importantly he does not represent the American philosophy of life.
When Ryan capitulated, and agreed to support Trump, even chairing his convention, I was angry; he let our nation’s people down. He placed his party, and winning an election, ahead of the welfare of our nation’s people.
Recent exposure regarding Trump’s lascivious words and actions has forced the GOP into ‘survival mode.’ I’m not sure that the party can remain intact until November 8th.
I predicted a comprehensive reformation within the Republican Party, but it may occur sooner than I had anticipated.
There were plans on Saturday for Donald Trump to attend a rally in Paul Ryan’s home district in Wisconsin. After recordings of Trump’s sexist attitude towards women were revealed to the public, he was uninvited.
Ryan was booed and heckled at the event. Trump’s “bag of deplorables” were not concerned about Trump’s evil persona, they remained supportive for their own deplorable leader.
The truth is that Trump has allowed the ‘darker side of America’ to stand and be counted. His open racism, bigotry, Islamophobia, and sexism are the reason Trump has been successful. However, true Americans; those of us who believe in the Constitution and its meaning, cannot accept a Donald Trump as our nation’s leader.
Trump’s followers will never support any other candidate, and will continue to denounce the Republican Party for its rejection of Donald Trump. This group is lost to the principles and ideals which compose my America.
If the Republican Party is to survive, it must begin to rebuild itself today. This election is lost. Democrats now have an enormous opportunity to gain seats in the House, and possibly regain control of the Senate; nothing can change that probability.
Reince Priebus must be fired, and a new Chairman of the RNC discovered whose loyalty is not to the billionaire Koch brothers, but to the nation and the GOP.
This is the truth, and the American people should know it; please repost. Thank you.
