Okay, here’s what we know on the day of the second presidential debate. Donald Trump has been exposed. No one who loves our nation and respects women can possibly continue to believe that he is fit to be our nation’s president. Some of Trump’s supporters thrived on his racism, and his denouncement of an entire religion, but his sexist attitude towards women is unforgivable.

Some Republicans are calling for a “flip-flop” of the GOP ticket; they want Mike Pence to become the presidential candidate. Not so fast. Before they throw their support behind the religious extremist who was the first Governor to enact an anti-gay law, they had better learn more about him.

First of all, the reason he chose to become Trump’s running mate was because he would have lost the gubernatorial election in Indiana. His low approve rating was continuing to slide even further. His acceptance of Trump’s offer was desperation.

Pence favors defunding Planned Parenthood, and shutting down the government if necessary to accomplish that goal. He has also made it more difficult for low-income and impoverished women in Indiana to access abortions.

When hypocrite Kelly Ayotte, Republican Senator from New Hampshire, pivoted and denounced Trump after his revolting recordings were exposed, she said that she would write in Pence’s name for president. Planned Parenthood responded immediately.

“Trading Trump’s violent language for Pence’s devastating policy proposals is a horrifying substitution. Donald Trump and Mike Pence have been partners in the same agenda — and that’s what we have to reject,” Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards said in a statement.

No one believes that Pence could sway suburban women from reconsidering their failure to support Hillary Clinton now. The Republican Party has proven that its war on women continues and denying it is futile.

Like Trump, Pence lied to the American people about Planned Parenthood’s primary function, which is providing cancer screening for low-income and poor women.

“I think the American people have begun to learn that the largest abortion provider in the country is also the largest recipient of federal funding under Title X and they want to see that come to an end,” Pence said then.

With the exception of cases involving rape and incest, Planned Parenthood has not used federal funds for abortion since 1976. Facts are facts former Governor Pence; you can make up your own lies all you want, but the truth is undeniable.

So, Republicans, pick your poison. Your party’s ticket has two misogynists. One is a sexist who will never change; words from him mean nothing. The other is a man who openly denies the rights of women, choosing male superiority, and female inadequacy as his personal belief. His religious extremism is a danger to our Constitution, and removes him from being a patriot; his country is not his priority.

So, there you are; this is the new Republican Party. If you believe in total equality for all Americans, please repost. Thank you.
