Republican’s lack of effective leadership has produced Donald Trump. But if the Democrats gain control of the Senate, it will be because Mitch McConnell is a complete failure. In 2009, he promised that Republicans in the Senate would do nothing until Barrack Obama was defeated. Not a great idea. When Merrick Garland was nominated for the empty seat on the Supreme Court, McConnell once again announced that the Senate would not be allowed to do anything until after the November election.
Garland is a moderate, respected by both Democrats and Republicans. McConnell’s decision was a desperate attempt, hoping that a Republican would win the election, and nominate another right wing extremist to replace Scalia. This idiotic idea is likely to backfire. Garland would be far more acceptable to anyone nominated by Hillary Clinton. She is likely to reverse the court and make it more progressive for decades.
If Independent voters display any intelligence, Hillary Clinton will win by a landslide, and Democrats will force McConnell out of his leadership role. The American people are of no concern to the Senate Majority Leader; reelection by the uninformed people of Kentucky and the welfare of his party are his priorities.
The truth is that McConnell has failed in everything he has ever attempted in Washington. When his party regained control of both houses in 2014, he promised the American people that ‘our government would return to work.’ He not only lied, he doubled down on his promise to do nothing. McConnell is collecting more than $200,000 per year for sitting on his a**. He has insured that two branches of our government are dysfunctional; the legislative and the judicial.
Why does McConnell hate America and the American people? Is it because he joins Trump in his racist and bigoted beliefs? This appears to be the truth.
In 2009, for no apparent reason, he denounced President Obama before he was seated in the oval office. McConnell represents the worst of our nation, and exemplifies the need for term limits in Congress.
Our government fails the American people because it fails to represent the majority. All of our nation’s people must be treated equally in all situations. Blacks cannot be treated differently than whites. Muslims cannot be denied their rights while Christians take control of one of our major parties. The working class cannot be denied their rights while the super wealthy dominate actions by our legislative bodies.
This election offers a turning point for the American working man and woman. If Trump is elected, the one-percent will receive additional benefits. Hillary Clinton will address income inequality and the unfair tax advantages of the wealthiest Americans. If she has the support of a Senate, led by Democrats, her task will be less difficult.
If you are a member of the majority; the working class; and you believe that your country belongs to you and your loves ones, vote Democratic. And please repost this article. I thank you and your family will thank you.
