In the first two debates, Donald Trump was curiously ‘sniffling’ constantly. The media never asked why, but the late night comedians did, and so did I. At the least, Trump was mimicking someone who was using cocaine. Now, in a desperate attempt to salvage his campaign, Trump is accusing Hillary Clinton of using drugs.

I truly believe that the pressure of a presidential campaign is affecting Trump. His usual confusing rhetoric is becoming even more jumbled; more foolish. He is completely off message, and has moved into a world of fantasy and paranoia.

“A lot of things are going on folks, a lot of things. I think she’s actually getting pumped up, you want to know the truth. She’s getting pumped up, you understand?” he asked rally attendees gathered in a parking lot of a Toyota dealership in this southern New Hampshire city.

Trump was criticizing Hillary for debate preparation. A woman in the crowd yelled “drugs.” Trump then compared himself and Hillary as athletes preparing to do battle.

“Because I don’t know what’s going on with her. At the beginning of our last debate, she was all pumped up at the beginning, and at the end it was like, ‘huh,’ ” he said. ”She could barely reach her car,” he added.

Kellyanne Conway was added to Trump’a campaign staff for two reasons. She was to keep him on message, and spin his lies and vile rhetoric. The former no longer exists; Trump is back to being Donald Trump. Once again he is on the attack; making up lies as he entertains his “bag of deplorables.”

Trump’s campaign is in free fall. As more women come forward with allegations of sexual assault, fellow Republicans continue to run for shelter. It wasn’t enough that he was a confirmed racist, bigot, and Islamophope, they waited until he was a confirmed sexist to remove their support.

The presidency is Hillary’s to win or lose. Trump cannot convince anyone other than his base to support him. His followers accept that he is a deplorable man; they are not concerned that he is prejudiced and a sexual predator. They continue to cheer wildly when Trump attacks Hillary without substance; without proof.

If Hillary refuses to allow Trump to engage her in a battle involving personal attacks Wednesday during the final debate, she has won the election. Trump cannot discuss the issues; he fails to offer solutions, only empty rhetoric.
