The “Trump effect” is real; it cannot be denied by the media or any Trump supporter. His tactics of creating fear and anger with lies and fallacious allegations has instigated violence from our nation’s citizens who share his beliefs. There is no better example of this fact than the words of a sheriff in Wisconsin.
Sheriff David Clarke Jr. of Wisconsin’s Milwaukee County is a Donald Trump supporter, and shares his claim that ‘the election is rigged.’ He also falsely claims that the media is supporting Hillary Clinton. But Clarke doesn’t stop there, he also supports Trump’s instigation of violence.
In a tweet, Clarke writes: “It’s incredible that our institutions of gov, WH, Congress, DOJ, and big media are corrupt & all we do is bitch. Pitchforks and torches time.” It should be noted that Clarke is black, and an elected Democrat who spoke at Trump’s convention in July. He also denounces the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
This is all the result of a presidential candidate who has built his entire campaign through tactics of anger, hatred, and violence. His lies and false attacks have convinced the weak-minded that he is a viable candidate to lead our nation.
I have never watched a convention which was filled with so much negativity. The ‘gloom and doom’ message was clear and unacceptable. Prior conventions have always celebrated our nation, and the focus was about what their candidate would do to improve the lives of all Americans. Trump’s convention focused on what he claimed would be the ‘destruction of American life’ if Hillary became our president. Certainly, much of this was focused on the fact that Hillary is a woman, and we know that Trump does not believe that woman have any purpose other than as sex objects.
When you go to the polls for early voting or on November 8th, consider carefully whether you believe our nation should be in the next four years. This is all we have; our vote. Please vote, and vote for your future, not for the past.
Thank you, and please re-post; America deserves the truth.
