Could FOX Noise be Changing its Direction?

fox

Twenty years ago this month FOX Noise was created as a right wing propaganda machine. It is one of the primary reasons America is so divided. Its lies, innuendos, and misdirection perpetrated by personalities rather than journalists have caused enormous harm to our nation and its government. After its president, Roger Ailes, was fired when dozens of charges of sexual harassment were filed against him, the network’s owner, Rupert Murdoch, was aware that it must change, or fade into a bad memory. Could the fake-news network be changing, and could it become a credible news venue?

Shepard Smith is a legitimate newsman who has worked for FOX for many years. If his ideas are approved by Rupert Murdoch, FOX will move in a new direction after the November 8th election.

With Trump supporter Ailes no longer in control, and the network’s displeasure with Trump todie Sean Hannity, Smith met with Murdoch who had this to say.

“He said, ‘I’m a newsman. I want to be the best news organization in America.’

He wants to hire a lot more journalists, he wants to build us a massive new newsroom, he wants to make more commitments to places like this [studio], to hire reporters to work on beats, just enlarge our news-gathering.

When the biggest boss, who controls everything, comes and says ‘That’s what I want to do,’ that’s the greatest news I’ve heard in years. And he didn’t mention one thing about our opinion side.”

Shepard began his career in journalism in  Panama City, Florida,  eventually rising to the top of the market in Los Angeles, California. His function with FOX for the last 20 years was to cover major events occurring nationally. He is the opposite of Hannity, who has often reported stories which would be considered at the ‘bottom of the food chain,” in journalistic circles.

“When the opinion people say things and then later we get facts that are different, and I report those, everybody would love for there to be a war going on here. But it’s not like that.

Everybody’s got a job to do. [Sean] Hannity is trying to get conservatives elected. And he wants you to listen to him and believe what he believes. And I’m disseminating facts. It’s really apples and teaspoons. What we do is so different. He’s an entertaining guy who has an audience that he serves, and I deliver the news.

His is probably easier ― he knows what he thinks and just sticks with it. This stuff changes all the time.”

When the news was broadcast for only one-half hour each evening, only facts were reported; no opinions were offered. Cronkite, Huntley, Brinkley, Murrow, and others infomed the American people.

With the advent of news broadcasts 24 hours a day, we actually receive less information today. Too much time is spent asking and offering opinions, and the facts are seldom excluded, or minimized.

If FOX joins the fourth estate, they will be offering a great service to the American people. They will move for a shameful and biased Republican tool to an information center for all Americans.

Please spread this information, and re-post; thank you.
