For 16 months Donald Trump has praised the polls; polls which revealed that he was winning his bid for the Republican nomination, and then his position after the July conventions. Today he says “I don’t believe the polls.”
With less than three weeks to go until the election, Hillary has a lead in virtually every poll. She leads Trump by a margin of seven to eleven percent. Trump doesn’t want to believe the facts. He claims that “even the polls are crooked.”
Because of the media’s higher standards for Hillary Clinton, she is not “beating” Donald Trump; Trump is losing this election because of his lack of moral character, and his failure to convince Independent voters that he is qualified to lead our nation. His claims that “the election is rigged” is nothing more than an excuse for the fact that he believes he will lose the election. Trump is a ‘loser,’ but cannot accept the truth. This is one word he will never accept. He is establishing an excuse.
The fact is that no one should receive consideration who calls an entire race “rapists and criminals.” A President of the United States cannot deny the Constitution and reject the rights of an entire religion. Questioning the intentions of a “Gold Star” family is unacceptable. Supporting white supremacists is an offense which proves that he must not be allowed to reside in the White House. The fact that he has been recorded making vile and lewd remarks about women on an Access Hollywood bus, during the taping of his show, The Apprentice, and a recording of a Howard Stern broadcast, display a lack of moral character; a necessity for the leader of the free world. An increasing number of women who claim that Trump sexually assaulted them proves that Trump is a sexual predator and a criminal who should be required to register as a sex offender. He is the political equivalent of Bill Cosby.
But Trump does not believe the polls; now. His weak temperament will not allow him to believe any negative facts or accusations regarding his life and lifestyle. Trump has always claimed that he was ‘perfect.’ We now know that he is the least qualified candidate in America’s 240 year history.
Trump’s favorite term is “crooked Hillary.” The truth is that he should be in jail. Many illegal activities have been revealed throughout the campaign; the most egregious are bribing elected officials for business gains, and using money from his own charity for personal use. Any other man or woman who committed these crimes would be indicted and tried for their violations.
There is no voter fraud, but the polls are inaccurate. Sample groups usually lean in one direction. I believe that Hillary is actually leading by 15 points or more. We do not know the number of Republicans who will actually cross over and vote for Hillary. As an Independent, I never believed that my voting bloc favored Donald Trump at any time during the campaign. We are often the group which vets the candidates carefully, and votes for the individual who will serve our nation and its people to the best of their ability. Television ads mean nothing to most of us.
Two words, ‘desperation,’ and ‘panic,’ describe Trump’s campaign less than three weeks before the election.
