For many celebrities, most recently Bill Cosby and Roger Ailes, when claims of sexual harassment and sexual assault arise, they are followed by an increasing number of claims by multiple women. It’s now Donald Trump’s turn.
After tapes were released from ‘Access Hollywood,’ ‘The Apprentice,’ and the ‘Howard Stern Show,’ revealing lewd comments made by the Republican standard bearer, women began to tell their stories. Trump is quickly learning that denial in not a river in Egypt. He can claim that they are all false, but witnesses, and facts cannot be denied.
Domestic violence and sexual assault have never reached the importance they must receive in our nation. The media and law enforcement occasionally report these heinous crimes, but only when they are committed by well-known men. The truth is that they happen daily in our nation, and most are virtually ignored.
One group of women has taken this opportunity in an attempt to increase awareness.
Tuesday morning, at least 100 women, all dressed in black, and a small contingent of men, marched towards Trump Tower in Manhattan. They held signs stating: “Keep Your LAWS off my BODY!” and ”Grab my pussy Muhf**ka I dare you.” The age group appeared to range from older teenagers, to women in their 60’s. Other similar protests are taking place at other Trump venues.
They marched in an orderly fashion in front of the entrance to Trump Tower in Manhattan, shouting : “GOP, hands off me!” and “If Trump thinks he runs this town, pussy came to shut it down.” All of the women are victims of sexual assault and abuse.
Several of the women took turns telling their tales, and demanded that the Republican Party remove its support for Donald Trump. One woman changed her sign to read: “F**K YOU, CHEETO VOLDEMORT.”
Once again, here’s the truth that mainstream media will not tell you. Long before the GOP allowed Trump to receive their party’s nomination, they knew everything about Trump which we all know today. This is not “news.”
For years Trump was invited to Republican events. He was a regular at CPAC. The crowd cheered wildly as he made fallacious and angry statements about President Obama, Hillary Clinton, ans other progressives. They knew who he was, and they liked him for it. Now that he and the Republican Party have been exposed for who they really are, they’re angry. Hypocrisy is a synonym for Republican.
Trump has totally alienated any ‘real’ women, Hispanics, and blacks. He has aligned himself with white supremacists. The truth be told; Trump is nothing but a ‘dirty old man’ whose weak temperament and questionable intellect must refuse him the opportunity to attain his personal ambitions.
