Last Wednesday was the third and final presidential debate. Towards the end, Donald Trump once again “talked-over” Hillary Clinton. His words were “such a nasty woman.” Little did he know that “nasty woman” would become a battle cry for Hillary.
When Katy Perry was observed wearing a T-shirt that simply said “nasty woman” while visiting a college dormitory, T-shirt manufacturers cannot produce them quickly enough. Trump may have united women, including millennials. This sexual predator fails to understand the power of women; attack one, and millions will come to her aid.
Trump’s campaign staff should have been aware from the very beginning that it could not win without attracting a larger number of Hispanics and women. As of today, 70 percent of woman find Trump an unfavorable candidate. Hillary holds a five point lead nationally, as early voting has begun. Over five million Americans have already cast their ballots, and a review of voter registration reveals a lead for Hillary.
Polls are interesting, and often inaccurate. What is more interesting is what experts are saying about the Electoral College. The magic number is 270. States believed committed to Hillary offer 258 Electoral votes; Trump’s number is estimated at 157. At present, Hillary is leading in most swing states. She needs 12 to win the election. At present, Hillary leads in the swing state of Florida which has 29 Electoral votes.
The math doesn’t lie. With exactly two weeks until election day, and if the large voter turnout continues, Trump cannot win. That said, please take the time to vote. Voting is not only a right, it is our only weapon against government officials who would favor the one-percent and discount the majority. Electing a president is only a segment of the importance of this election. It is imperative that Democrats regain control of the Senate, and possibly the House.
Spread the good news; please re-post. Thank you.
