How Women are Defeating Donald Trump

hillary-3

The polls matter very little in a presidential election. The popular vote does not win elections; proven in 2000. The Electoral College picks our president. The magic number is 270. As of October 21st, Hillary Clinton is projected to be awarded 317 votes; Trump 186. States with early voting are reporting large numbers of women coming to the polls.

It should be no surprise that women will vote in unusually larger numbers than expected. The reason for some may be the opportunity to elect our nation’s first woman president, but many are voting against her challenger, Donald Trump. He has always been known as a misogynist, but recent revelations including three recordings of lewd comments, and claims by more than a dozen women about sexual assault, have proven that he is undeserving of receiving a win in 13 days.

A week ago, during the final presidential debate, Trump ‘talked-over’ Hillary once again. His remark was “such a nasty woman.” “Nasty Woman” has become a battle cry for a Hillary Clinton landslide. T-shirts are being purchased all over the nation in support of our first woman president.

I doubt if most people will understand the ramifications of this seemingly insignificant remark. Women have always been held to a higher standard than men. They are not allowed to display the same strength, confidence, or even anger over a reprehensible situation as their male counterparts. They are labeled “shrews,” “arrogant,” and even “b***hes.”

Nasty Woman” is a celebration honoring a strong woman who will become not only our first woman president, but a great president.

Many political strategists, including several Republicans, have decided that there is no circumstance which will allow Trump a victory. I hope and pray that they are not mistaken. For the future of our country the most unqualified candidate in history must be denied an opportunity to achieve his personal ambitions.

The primary reason for Trump’s loss is clear; he is not supported by the majority of demographics, including women, blacks, Hispanics, and Americans with a higher level of education.

Lies from Trump during the last 16 months have failed to hide the truth. Hillary Clinton’s position on every issue is solid and will positively affect the majority of Americans. She is stronger on immigration reform, reducing income inequality, repairing and improving the Affordable Care Act, and securing equal rights for women. She will address reform of our judicial system, and restore faith in law enforcement.

The choice is clear. I hope all of you vote and select the most qualified candidate in our nation’s history. Please re-post; I thank you.
