Hopefully there will be good news on November 9^th. Donald Trump will have been sent back to his golden tower, and America will have been spared from a possible disaster. Our nation will have its first woman, and our most qualified president. However, the evil that is Donald Trump will have a lasting effect on our nation.

Teachers have reported that during the last 16 months, younger Americans have emulated Trump, and bullying has increased. The media has repeatedly televised Trump rallies where he encourages anger, hatred, and violence.

The fact that millions of racists and bigots continue to exist has been proven. They have come out of the shadows to support Trump. He has become their voice; their leader.

Thanks to Donald Trump, millions of Americans believe that white supremacy is good. He encourages his supporters to hate Hispanics, blacks, and Muslims. His female supporters obviously believe that it is acceptable if their daughters are victims of sexual assault.

Then there’s the case of the women in Millbury, Massachusetts. On October 17^th, Maria Daly called the police to report a burglary and vandalism. On an exterior wall, someone has spray-painted “BLM.”

The investigating officer became suspicious. Police Chief Donald Desorcy said “something wasn’t quite right.” After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the entire incident was fabricated by Mrs. Daly. Her husband is a police officer.

Our nation has been greatly divided since the invasion of Iraq in 2003; Donald Trump has increased that division. Our nation’s environment is permeated with the stench of hate, and much of it is the result of failed leadership in the Republican Party who allowed Donald Trump to become the party’s nominee.

Never in our nation’s history has a presidential campaign been entirely structured around lies and accusations. No candidate has failed so drastically to offer any substance; any reason why he should be allowed to soil the sheets in the White House.

It will be a very long time until Trump is forgotten by the American people. Parts of this debacle must be never be forgotten, and never allowed to be repeated.

The GOP must find effective and forward thinking leadership. The extremists and obstructionists can no longer be allowed to make our government dysfunctional again.
